guided tours of historic bedford

Usually you get what you pay for, but in this case, not so, you get a whole lot more! At first I was of a 'Free Tour,' but when I saw that it was sponsored by the Bedford's Visitors' Bureau/Center, I decided to give it a try, and IT WAS A GREAT TOUR! Stories told by the head of the Visitors' Bureau/Center were very informative, factual, pertinent and told with a good deal of levity and humor to round out the experience! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bedford, PA. Plus the tour is right down town where there are plenty of food and drink options after the tour!

We were pleasantly surprised. This tour was very entertaining, funny at times, well written and well delivered. The tour was not a ploy to get you to spend money (as we have seen with other "free" tours). The guide is very passionate about the town and the history. Worth the time! Great for kids, adults, history buffs, non-history buffs, architecture enthusiasts. This was a highlight of our 2 day trip to Bedford, the Jean Bonnet and Bedford Springs Resort!
