carroll valley resort golf courses

Golf package was excellent value. Rooms are literally steps from the putting green and 1st tee. Rooms are very nice and the food was good and the people that worked there all seemed to be townies or locals which is great. They are literally rebuilding the main lodge so lots of construction but the golf course is nice and the location is beautiful.

If you can not hit it long forget this place. Par 3's are very long leaving us older short hitters playing driver into their greens.

Our foresome enjoyed a pleasant round of golf there and if you're in the Gettysburg area this course would be a fun track to play at a good rate. Not the most difficult layout but there are a few holes that will challenge your shot making ability. Food was good after the round and the price was good too.

Nice staff, some pretty holes, and pace of play was pretty good. Very dry when we played - not their fault, and I suspect with a little rain and another week or two to turn the leaves it would be much prettier. Clubhouse facilities stuck in yesteryear.Course itself is fairly easy. Par 3s tougher than the 4s and 5s. Nice soft sand.

Came here for the first time last month..... fair rates food is okay but costly like any resort. Went to use the locker room in the morning to my surprise I walked in on a old dirty man doing naked sit ups...... yuck..... go about my businesses.......... go to the tog to eat a bite before we tee off, realized I needed to purchase some tees, little to my surprise the nasty old man from the locker room is the golf pro, must be sweet to shower work out and watch TV at work where to I sign up for a job, this guy is so lazy he calls the starter shed from a radio its like 20 feet from his desk course was fair missing a lot of trees from last time I was here and they are letting the grass grow high near the tees and sand traps which sucks to find your ball, that about sums up my visit.......

One of my favorite golf courses i have played across the country.

If you want a simple golf game and out of the main highway then this'll be for you. Not much challenge but it's a cooler ace with a good breeze and I would golf here if it was closer more often. Not a bad Sunday. Staff is nice and the overall atmosphere is still typical

Good golf course in fair condition. A lot of very similar holes at this course, not bad holes, just similar.

Thank you for the nice review about our golf course. As you may know, as of May 2010, we are under new ownership, now part of Liberty Resort. Many improvements are underway on the course and around the clubhouse. All hotel rooms on the golf side have been completely renewed, floor to ceiling. If you want to play golf, Carroll Valley Resort has two four stars courses. Both courses were in good shape and the greens were almost perfect during our stay. The dinners at the hotel was excellent, and the wait staff was very friendly. The only negative’s was the hotel in general. When we check into the hotel, we requested a ground floor room, and none was available. When they assigned us to a second floor room, there wasn’t any elevator for us to move our luggage and equipment. Which made our move physically stressful. Also the halls were very dark, and none of the rooms were adjoining. If you do decide to stay here, but sure that you ask for a room facing the putting green or the golf course. The rooms on the other side have a view the Ski Liberty hotel. Overall the rooms were clean, and the golf staff was very friendly.
