We stopped here on our way home from Gettysburg. We only made it through the first building - the mall is so big that we could have easily spent half a day here (at least). I was impressed with the variety of items - antique furniture, tools, glassware, embroidered linens...the list goes on. Most of what we looked at was very reasonably priced, too. I'm sure we'll be back next time we're in the area!
There is literally something for everyone here and in all price ranges. I could have spent the day there but had to move on to Chambersburg. We'll visit again in April for sure.
This complex is made up of four large buildings that are on both sides of US Rt. 30. Use caution when crossing the road as this can be a really dangerous road to cross on foot. During the nicer weather there are also outside vendors set up in front of some of the buildings providing even more to look at. The staff is helpful, especially if you are on a mission for something specific. I did most of my Christmas shopping here. There is a large variety of items to look at and I always feel that something I would like I managed to miss since there are numerous booths to look in. If you really like to look at everything you could be here a very long time.Yes you will find there are some newer items here and there but that is common place. I have gotten some really good deals here and some not so good after I bought an item on a whim and upon researching at home found I bought at the upper end of retail. However I have never bought anything that I was not pleased with. One tip is to make sure you have cash to make purchases as most of the dealers will give you a better price when using cash versus credit cards.Go have fun and walk around, if your are over 50 you are sure to find things that remind you of your youth.
