I love the "petting" zoo. All the animals are well cared for and adorable. Staff is friendly and so are the Llama. I love visiting with the animals and cannot wait to go back next season!

We love going there every year at least once. The zoo has some very cute and interesting animals and you can feed some of them. We love getting home made stuff from the store there. The ice cream place has great ice cream too! There are two mini golf courses that we never played but look fun and I'm sure we'll play at some point. :) The kids love it!

I was in the area from a neighboring county looking for an outdoor A frame swing as a gift for my Mother's birthday. I did some research on places and business hours and was happy to see this one was open until 7. I got out of my car and headed towards the furniture store. A man and a woman were standing in front of the store and said, "We closed early". It was an hour and 15 minutes before closing time, and they were just standing there talking. They looked at me with that annoyed look of someone who thinks you are just there to look. The man asked me if I really needed to get in. I said that I was looking to BUY something for my Mom for her birthday. I got a couple grunts/ummms and then was told they would be open tomorrow. Needless to say, I knew I wouldn't be back. I went to another local store (Briar Hill Rustic Furniture) and stopped to look at their swings. They closed at 5, so I just browsed outside. Within a few minutes, a man came out and greeted me. Told me about the items I was looking at and offered to open up the store and show me anything else I might want to purchase. I knew I had found my store! When I told him I worked at a county office and didn't get off until 4:30, he offered his number to call him if I was running late picking up my purchase. Guess who got my $500.00 purchase, word of mouth advertising, and all of my future purchases for life?

Clearly a well run place. The animals seem to be treated well !! Nice gift shops and great ice cream stand too

Very close to Campers Paradise where we stayed. We visit this place everytime we stay at CP. Love watching the little goats. The meals have always been great!

Animal zoo good for kids, food not bad at all mini golf and driving range. General store has some unique stuff., Ice cream is good.

We have be going here for the past 3 yr. mostly because my 6 yr. old son LOVES the place. Usually at least once a week. I make the drive from DuBois because really there isn't much to do in the area.The food is just ok, prices not bad. Nice salad bar. Breakfast buffet by far the best! The desserts are very good as well. The service is good, we have come to know quite a few of the servers. It was very upsetting to arrive one night at 8:35 & be told we could not have dinner only desserts. I asked about the hours posted on the door with closing at 9:00pm, I was told the grills were off. To make the drive & be turned away has left me more than displeased & we have not returned. Not sure that I will ever make WEEKLY visits there again.

We eat here every year after a family trip to enjoy the Cook Forest area. Meals are always tasty and the staff is efficient and friendly. Nothing fancy or exceptional - just reasonable priced homestyle meals. Nice salad bar and fair portions. Lots to do after the meal as well - ice cream, shopping, mini golf, etc. petting zoo gets more expensive each year - it used to be free.

took our 2 yr old grandson to the little zoo there..he loved it so close to the well kept animals..very clean and well taken care of! Also has a nice restaurant(reasonable and good food) Ice cream was great! Nice gift shop and bulk food store,minature golf and woodworking store.

Food was good at a fair price but really cant get into seeing these poor animals (bears, cougars, wolves) pacing frantically in their "jails" just for human amusement. Now I dont know if these were "rescues" from injury, etc......but this is not my idea of a fun day out with the kids. Actually dont know if this is even open anymore.

They have added so many things to this property since it opened that it has become a local favorite for many reasons. The food, the shopping, the mini-golf and the live animals are all part of the experience.

This is a great place to go. Aside from the animal attraction, they have the best breakfast buffet in the area. It has become a camping tradition with us.

My kids love this place, they can pet and feed some of the animals, food is sold there to feed them (the animals, not the kids ;-) ) There's a pretty big variety for such a small place. The older ones like reading the information about the animals, the little ones just like to touch and feed.

Young kids will love to go to this petting zoo. They have food you can purchase. Mini golf, ice cream, gift shop, restaurant, driving range, bulk foods store... all on site. Lots to see and do.

This place is awsome, if you make it to the area of cooks forest. make the trip to see.
