I visited the Science Center and was delighted to take my 20-month old daughter through three floors of exhibits. The exhibits appeal to children of all ages and interests. The exhibits are designed to be enjoyed by one to three persons at a time so this may be a drawback if you visit during a high volume day. My daughter and I enjoyed ourselves and I plan on purchasing a family membership so she has an place to play during the winter months or on a rainy day. This facility also has a 3D theater, and smaller performance stage.Highly recommend.

We tried buying the tickets on line but found out that they were going to charge a fee higher than the price of the ticket... made no sense. We wound up going in early to purchase the tickets and when we got there, the lady at the counter said that it was a private event for ABC and that we couldn't get in. We said that the web page did not say anything about this and that it even gave the option of purchasing tickets on line; she had to go ask and finally came back saying that it was open to the public. We had to stand in line longer than expected. Never had been to a movie theater and have the movie start late. We were still outside when the movie was supposed to start. Not one person came out to comment on that and let us know if it would be long or not. They did start handing out the glasses way before we were allowed in so I'm guessing they knew things were running late and chose not to say anything. They need to find a way to wipe down those glasses because the ones we got were disgusting. I tried cleaning them with a napkin but didn't get to far. If you're not going to be able to keep them as clean as possible, you should go a different direction, especially if they go on your face which is a very quick way of picking up a virus.

Never been before, I thought it was geared towards kids. Upon entering it was unclear what a ticket was needed for and what was free. specifically went to see 3D Frozen for my 3 year old. Was disappointed that she was unable to view the movie when they had no kid 3D glasses. The glasses were big on me. She literally had to hold them the entire movie which she got tired doing. For the price of her give her the means to watch the movie. Besides having kids 3D glasses maybe have a greater pointing out whats there upon entering.

I had the pleasure of viewing Jerusalem 3D at this wonderful hands-on science center. I didn't have time to tour the museum today and was delighted that I could just purchase a ticket ( reasonably ) for the theater without an additional entrance fee.

Wonderful show, great small theater, so much effort to make everyone feel at home, they even had a beautiful choir to entertain us before the show, easy to park in the dry and not to far to get to the theater from the parking lot.

Our family was camping in the area and we needed an nice indoor activity during a rainy day. We took our 8 month old son to the Whitaker Center and had a blast! Its $19 for each adult, $13.50 for each kid from 3-12, so its a bit pricey. However you do get a lot of activities. There are 3 floors of displays. We ended up staying on the one floor that had the Kids Place, for 5 and under. The Kids place has a area for crawling play with fabric blocks, a kids size "grocery" store, and a full size stage that kids can get up on an act out a re-recorded play. There is also a building block section, a life size ambulance for kids to play in and a mini-city to crawl around. Our favorite feature was the Erosion Table or water table. This is a 4 sided water table that has little baby seats in the highest side for babies to sit and splash in. YOUR CHILD WILL GET SOAKED if they play in/around the table. I guess older kids can play without getting too wet but that takes the fun out of it. They give you these little aprons but HA!, those didn't do a thing. Our baby LOVES water so he was splashing and laughing for 20 minutes straight. Luckily, I bring lots of changes of clothes no matter what activity we go to. One little girl really wanted to play but her mom had no change of clothes so she couldn't. I posted a picture in the album to show the water table. This tired our baby out quickly so we didn't get a chance to see the other 2 floors. We will go back next time we camp near here. There is street parking but we used the parking garage right next door, it cost $7.00 for the 3 hours we were parked there. There is also a food court in the attached building but we didn't eat there.

This science center is located in downtown Harrisburg. There is plenty of hands-on stuff for kids. They have exhibits discussing motion, movie making, and nutrition, among others. Its not a very large place, but it had several good exhibits. There is a public parking garage nearby that was about $10 for a few hours. The center is connected to a mall that has a large food court with plenty of options for any taste.

Excellent movie teather for 3 D movies. Lots of neat displays. In center city so parking is a slight problem.

The Whitaker Center is very versatile and exciting for just about anyone. The science center constantly changes up the main exhibit to make repeated trips something different each time. With the large theater and IMAX, the center also scores gigs with some impressive musical and theatrical acts, and from time to time screen major blockbusters. Definitely worth checking out as a visitor to Harrisburg or local resident looking for entertainment.

My kids went last year for the first time and enjoyed it, so we tried it again this year and invited the cousins. Four kids (9, 6, 6 and almost 4). Some of the "games" were not working properly. The kids enjoyed the Ice Age exhibit.

This is a hands-on "STEM" science technology engineering math experience. We spent 3 hours there and could have spent more with our 6 year old grandson. Being educators it was one of the best experiences we have had at this type of venue. Parking was super-convenient at the Walnut St. Parking garage.

Always a favorite with the kids. It can be a bit daunting when the day camps descend but we managed to miss the bulk of them

Daughter and grandaughter joined me for the CPYB performance. It was wonderful, the three of us enjoyed ourselves.

The grandkids had a good time with the exhibits that we're working. This place needs some upkeep and maintenance and a few more workers to clean up the mess.
