Always a great time with the kids picking apples, selecting pumpkins, getting cider and fresh made donuts. Now they are even open for Christmas Trees. Overall they do a great job, if you are in the area you must make a stop.
We always buy our flowers and veggies here. And the pumpkin patch in the fall can't be beat. So many fun things to do.
A fun place to go as a family! You can pick apples, get donuts, go for a wagon ride, shoot a potato gun, there's a petting zoo, a corn maze, you can select a pumpkin and so much more! The staff are friendly and have always been willing to help. We've had church events there, school field trips and just popped in for flowers, donuts, apples or to look for a fun gift for a friend. VERY family friendly!
In the spring it is a wonderful place to purchase your flowers, in the fall it's lots of fun to bring the kids to all the pumpkin activities...and the homemade donuts...YUM!!
Stopped by to get pansies for the garden, ended up with spikes, geraniums, pansies, fiber optic grass and more. The person who assisted us was very knowledgeable, helpful and energetic. She made the specter of planting flowers a delight, so we enjoyed the entire process from purchase to in the ground fun. They have a vast selection of bedding plants, and it our salesperson is an indication, a great sales staff. Can yu ask for more than that?
We went to Gull Meadow Farms twice this year and I wish we had went ahead and bought a season pass. Our daughter was around 19 months old when we went, and she absolutely loved it. Pumpkin lane is a great place for young children to burn off some energy. Our daughter especially liked the Pumpkin Lane Train, the large tunnel slides, bouncy pillow and petting zoo. We also love their donuts. The apple donuts are our favorite. The corn maze is fun and there is a wide selection of apples. There even more activities for all ages beyond these. If going with young children, it's a little slower during the week, but be aware that Pumpkin Lane (young children's area) doesn't open till 4 and a few things in that area didn't open at all while we were there on a weekday. The weekends are very busy and may be a little overwhelming for very young kids. Weekdays are less crowded and typically no wait. Fun fall activities for the family!
We've been to several apple orchard/farms both in our region and out of state, and we would place Gull Meadow Farms on our top 5 list! Not only is the retail barn spacious, will plenty of room even on the busiest days, but the farm offers a wide variety of seasonal farm and floral goods at decent prices. When the lines back up at the donut windows, the staff ensures quick efficient service. Richland itself is a cute little burg with a town square and a few little shops and restaurants. Don't miss driving around Gull Lake for scenic drives and upscale homes.
Great place to have some fun outside with kids. Zipline. Maze. Pick apples. Purchase pumpkins. Apple cannon's. Wagon rides. For less than $10/person you can have a really nice time. Certainly it gets busy during peak times, but all good within reason. To me, that is the nature of the business. The place is staffed with young kids and they aren't the most service oriented, but understandable for seasonal help.
Fun place for families and especially for kids. Fall activities are the best with plenty of things to purchase including most excellent little donuts and cider.
We have been here several times for field trips or to pick up cidar and donuts. My girls love the tractor ride to pick apples and like playing in the kid area. It can get busy on the weekend so we try to go midweek!
I get all my plants here every year. They have a wonderful selection and the prices are always better than most local nurseries. We've also gone back in the fall for cider, games, and the cornfield maze. Too fun!
This is a manditory stop every fall for our family. Everyone will find something that is fun to do, picture opportunities abound, and the staff truly enjoy working with children of all ages. It is accessible for persons with limited mobility.
Our hanging baskets and garden plants are purchased here every year. There is a large variety to choose from and if you don't see what you are looking for, ask and the staff is very helpful in telling you if they will have it and when. The plants are well taken care of .. very healthy and lush and the price is very reasonable.
The donuts, cider, and activities are all fun. Parents, however, and children too young to participate in the activities still have to pay the rather steep admission price.
This is always a fun place to go, my only complaint is that they dont have fresh cider.
