I always stop by Bel Lago winery when I'm in the area. This week I had the added pleasure of meeting Moses the winery dog. He added so much to my experience since I'm a real a dog lover and I was missing my dog so much while on vacation. Our wine steward, John was so knowlegable and friendly he made our stop fun. The wine here is excellent with many award winners. It's always nice stiooping at the Beautiful Lake Winery!

We stopped in for a tasting and were very pleased. The owner came out and gave us a tasting of some Riesling he was just ready to bottle. He stayed and talked to us past closing time. What a nice guy!! The wine was also good. We like big bold reds and he had a tasty Pinot Noir for us. I would recommend everyone stopping in for a pleasant experience.

The staff is very friendly, the views are amazing-perfect picturesque. Wines are reasonably priced and overall nice for the price. You are able to taste all of the wines on the menu. I highly recommend this little gem!

We went with a tour group, and the owner personally took us on a tour of the vineyard, and explained to us about the different varieties of grapes that they grow. They make an interesting wine, that is a combination of Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio. I highly recommend it. The views here are fabulous.

Yes, the GPS will be helpful to find this delightful place. The location has a view of the lake and many wines available for tasting. Cathy was very knowledgeable and we had a great conversation with her about wine. The winemaker also stopped by and was very enthusiastic about sharing information about the wine. Bel Lago has almost all of their wines on the tasting menu which is more than you will find at other wineries in the area. A little snack would be a nice addition to compliment the experience.

A great, seemingly smaller winery, with excellent staff, wines and picturesque, secluded area! The people were amazingly friendly, the wines were, overall, very nice, and reasonably priced!

Bel Lago is about one mile north of our summer location at Leelanau Pines Campground. So we take the opportunity to sample their wine often in their tasting room. Wines are moderately priced and the whites are pretty good. Leelanau's wine industry has grown from a single winery twenty years ago, to well over 30 now. Bel Lago is one of the better ones.

We stopped recently on a self guided wine-tasting tour. We almost skipped Bel Lago, because it is a bit out of the way. We were certainly glad that we didn't! The owner was very friendly, and he explained the different wines he currently had available. The Pinot Noir is excellent - I would recommend it to anyone.

The owners and winemakers have a presence so the experience is more personal than many other places. All the wines were better than I expected. The tasting room and winery are nice and small scale and the vineyard are beautiful

Bel Lago is off the beaten path and well worth the drive. This winery takes their wines and wine tasting seriously: I, too, am concerned about wineries as 'entertainment': an 'E ticket ride'; a bachelorette party is a sad commentary on what seems to be too often the case now with wineries and wine tastings. Fortunately, Bel Lago and its team provide quality wines; serious discussion; and a beautiful outlook. If you are tired to the M22/Old Mission tasting rooms with 'guests' who seem more interested in slamming back alcohol than thinking about wine and wine process, Bel Lago is for you. I'm not a wine 'snob': far from it, but I appreciate the professionalism of the staff at Bel Lago and their restful outlook over the Lake.

Not the best tasting experience in TC. The staff was a little...unfriendly and didn't seem interested in telling you about their wines. They offered a free pour and have a pretty decent Cherry Wine.

Their wines are wonderful with many prize winners- Bel Lago means Beautiful Lake, need I say more? This is a friendly winery .

Had a really good time here.the wines are good,the staff was friendly and fun!They also had good knowledge of their products.I've been in retail wine sales for 20 years,I am glad to see Michigan wines coming into their own,,,
