It was a bright and sunny Friday afternoon, the beginning of a long weekend and we were in town enjoying the warm sunshine. We already had lunch and it was too early for dinner, but we stopped in for a cool beverage. While I had my usual diet coke, my wife got to sample tastes of about 4 of their very own beers until she found one that fit her taste. Conversation with one of the regulars and one of the bartenders was excellent as we continued on our journey.
Located in the downtown area, so if your family doesn't like craft beers - send them shopping. Great location, and very happy with service and beer. Worth stopping. Store next door is excellent and offers merchandise along with their distillery items. About six miles off of the highway.
We went there around 7 on a Friday night. It was packed but it was only a 15 minute wait for a table. Nice area upstairs for dinner. We tried the Zoomer beer and it was very good. Next time we will try the sampler. Staff was nice and very efficient. I was pleasantly surprised, the food was delicious! Chips and salsa were very tasty. Loved their pizza and we are from Chicago, home of great pizza. It was a crispy crust, I had the portobello and my husband had the margarita (tomato, cheese and basil). 10 inch size is perfect for a meal for one or to share as an appetizer. Great beer & food and a band plays in the evening. Only bad thing was the drunk lady with a very loud cackling laugh, not the restaurants fault :) we will be back!
We went with a large group and found the service was lacking a bit although we had called ahead. Refills were very hard to come by, even for water. Several of our orders didn't get placed with the group, so we had people just starting to eat while others were finished. With a smaller group, or even better more help for our server, this is a nice place to go for dinner. I did not hear anyone complain about their dinner. Those in my immediate group were pleased with the taste of their food.
Had a great lunch and multiple beer tastings. The beers were really tasty! The pizza was to die for.
friends and I were on a day trip to Holland, Michigan. Had lunch here. Very good and very reasonable. I especially liked some of their microbrews-Dragons milk. We were seated immediately (a group of 9) and the waitress was pleasant and very accommodating. Thanks fr a good time.
Wonderful place to eat in downtown Holland. We were there on a Friday evening and only had a 30 minute wait for a wonderful meal. The salad was scrumptious and the service was great!Great shopping in Holland, truly unique shops with very unique one of a kind items!
We were seated in the open air part of restaurant which was great. They have outdoor seating as well. Great pizza and my husband loved the Dragons Milk beer.
good food really enjoyed the atmosphere of an old brewerywaiter really friendly and great service after very busy day at Tulip Festival
What a cute little town lots of shops and resturaunts, had the best fish and chips ,must go even if it is for the day.
We travel cross country seeking brew pubs along the way because aside from Tilted Kilt, they always have the best food and great beer assortments. As a bonus, we are often able to also schedule a brewery tour as we did at New Holland. First bonus is you can schedule the tour and pay on line so when you enter it in your itinerary, its gonna happen. No sold out at the last minute like another very popular brewery in the Saugatuck area. The tour is lengthy, with a lot of good information and sampling. The people conducting the tours are not full of themselves, or claim to be beer snobs, they are honest beer drinking-brewing people who enjoy sharing all New Holland has to offer. The tour is NOT conducted at the restaurant downtown so parking is a breeze and you also can shop New Holland merchandise before or after the tour. Thumbs and glass UP!
Had our hungry kids, looked for a sit-down place close to where we parked. Saw several families inside so we tried it. Food was pretty good, Wait staff was exceptional. Food was better than the norm, although I wasn't particularly fond of my sandwich (I am picky). My kids loved their pizza, it seemed fresh. Mac and cheese was really tasty. Nice atmosphere, didn't feel strange taking kids in there. Would have loved to try some crafted beer, but couldn't this time. I would go back. Waitress was really on-spot and super friendly, always a smile. Nice shop for 20's crowd. Bathrroms were clean and nice.
Excellent food. Fun and responsive service. Good local selection on tap. The food was well above my expectations.
Doin' the brew thing, this was one of our stops. It did not feel overtly commercial nor like it was ultra hipster and handlebar mustaches were required. An interesting and diverse beer menu, a state of the art bar, plus a small shop with great logo'd items, plus a full restaurant with some pretty decent food. The clams on appetizer were very good, though we did have two bad ones, which our waitress didn't seem to care about when pointed out. The restaurant service was a bit lacking, but it still had decent possibility considering the area.
Southwestern Michigan is to craft beer as Napa Valley is to wine. And no visit to beer country is complete without a stop at New Holland Brewing Company. As one of the more widely distributed lables, serious beer drinkers may prioritize lessor known brewers and breweries. While it is dififcult to argue against that strategy, there is a reason New Holland is a label to be reckoned with. And a visit to this landmark highlights cask versions of their more popular titles that bring forward the high notes that make New Holland Beer unique. The menu will not dissappoint the pub crowd but falls short of anything spectacular. At New Holland Brewery the beer is the star.
