the legacy

I have had the opportunity to golf The Legacy three times over the past four summers while in the Toledo, OH area. The first two visits, I knew it was a nice course, but with temperatures in the mid to upper 90's, finishing eighteen holes was my only focus. Today I golfed the course on a cloudy, windy, chilly July day and my only wish upon leaving was that I lived closer to the Legacy so I could play this course more often. The course is very wide open, having been built on farmland. Some trees, some water, but neither of which become annoyingly problematic through the round; though sand traps are plentiful. Noted today was the improvement in the upkeep of the course over past visits. In a summer where the greens of every course I have played are in extremely poor shape due to the brutal and lengthy winter, the Legacy's greens were an unexpected pleasure. The greens fees were very fair given the quality of the course. Clubhouse was basic; pro shop small and only had men's clothing. Staff has always been friendly and helpful.
