This park is 6 miles or so from our house, and it's quite spacious with plenty of sporting options like tennis courts, basketball courts, soccer/football fields, baseball diamonds, and a track. It doesn't cost anything to use this park, and it's pretty well maintained as well. It's conveniently close to many food and shopping options. Our daughter loves the playground - we wish there were more swings, but everyone seems to share pretty well. The duck/geese pond is always fun for the kids - you are allowed to feed the critters. There are a good number of pavilions and picnic areas that are perfect for parties and family reunions. They have those stationary charcoal grills as well. As a parent, I feel I have to mention that there is a hospital and a fire station very close by - for safety's sake! Not that you will need it, but in case your child climbs something and falls, you aren't far from help. :)
I loved the walking path at the park. After a big family reunion with lots to eat. My family and I walked off the calories by using the walking path. Loved seeing the Canadian Geese swimming on the pond.
My grandson loves to go to the park. The equipment is clean and nice and he loves to feed the ducks at the pond. Well except for the time he wanted to follow them in the lake and got wet! Beautiful little town park - next beautiful do, go visit this little treasure!
Love the layout, beautiful grounds, pond, tennis courts, picnic area, walking trails. Children's play area in need of updating but children enjoy what is there.. Walking/track area, ball fields.. Nice quiet and peaceful during week. Hub of activity in weekends.
We frequent the park and ball fields. The park is well maintained. The are walking trails, playgrounds, fishing ponds, ball fields, and more. It is a very nice place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Desoto County.
My 5 year old constantly wants to go to this park. It's well maintained. Has a nice playground with lots to do. There are hiking trails to explore in the woods. There is also a fitness trail around the lake that has exercise stations where you can do pull-ups and other exercises. There is a nice T-shaped dock into the lake for fishing or feeding the fish. We used to enjoy feeding the ducks and geese, but signs have gone up requesting that you don't do that anymore. There are lighted tennis courts, a walking track (that has been used for track events by the high school, too), plenty of grills, shaded picnic tables, and pavilions (pavilions can be reserved for parties/family reunions). There are many soccer, baseball and football fields for youth league sports. We have always felt very safe. There are speed bumps to keep the traffic managed, and OB police usually do a drive through on a regular basis. Great place to spend an afternoon on a nice day.
This is a very nice park in a fast growing city! It is always well kept! It has nice ponds or lakes( however you want to look at them) to use for fishing! it has a playground for the kids, ballparks, a track, tennis courts, walking trails, and places to rent for the day or just use for a picnic or cookout! It is just a really nice park! Only complaint is the city doesn't allow you to feed the Ducks or the Geese anymore! We use to enjoy doing that! :( Overall it's a really nice park!
The Olive Branch City Park is a great place to take the family for a relaxing day of being together if you can get them to put their phones down for a few hours. The grounds are clean and we have always been able to get a table and grill every time we have gone.
nice park, close to everything. crew was on top of everything and plenty of parking. Would have beennice to have more than one gate open though.
The olive branch park has a lot to offer, playground, baseball, running track, woods hiking, tennis, duck and a fitness track.
What a wonderful place to be! Woods, trails, a large pond with pier, duck and geese to feed! Another very pretty small pond near the walking paths. Walking paths, baseball/soccer fields, playground. Dog friendly, kid friendly, exercise friendly. Fishing, biking, basking in the sun, picnics, and tennis. What a wonderful place to go! Love it.
Our little one lives the play ground, walking trail, chasing geese and exploring the area. Great place to play!
This was a nice break for a tourist in a small town. A pond with ducks and geese, paved and graveled walkways that take you around pond, woods or athletic fields. Even on cold and foggy days and leafless trees it was a nice break for our weekly stay.
