the spa at silver star

I have been to several spas, casino and regular and the best thing I can say about this one was it was clean. The attendant was not friendly or knowledgeable. She was more interested in getting back to her conversation with friends. She gave me a key and though I told them I was new to their spa, I was left to figure out where the changing rooms and other features were by myself. The treatment itself was adequate but I had the same treatment at a different aveda spa and was also given a scalp and foot massage when I was wrapped. A bit disappointing but just their way I guess. The attendant was nice. Afterwards I was looking forward to the dry sauna, steam room, and whirlpool. The dry sauna was not on and would take at least 30 min to heat. The whirlpools were both lukewarm at best. The steam room was the only thing working properly. The shower was clean but you had to take the shampoo conditioner and body wash big bottles from the sink area. I got my shower and dried my hair. Most spas I have been to had at least one hair spray. Not here. Had to ask for a bag for my wet suit and was directed next door to borrow some hairspray. I was not checked on at anytime during the visit and the relaxing atmosphere was ruined but the loud laughing and conversations but the front desk personnel. Over all I did have soft skin but frazzled nerves when I was finished with the visit.

I have not been to many spa's. But my experience here was wonderful. Atmosphere was awesome private and my therapist did a wonderful job. Can't wait to go back

I didn't stay at the hotel, but the spa at the Silver Star is wonderful. The staff is delightful, and the hot stone massage is NOT TO BE MISSED!!! I would go there again. And again. And AGAIN.
