clinton crossing premium outlets

Tanger has a wider selection of stores but I love the brands they carry on this outlet: Gymboree, RL, Gap, Coach and Lucky. The rest, Tanger pretty much has them too. This is an outlet where half a day is more than enough. If you plan to spend a day shopping, you will be bored after a couple of hours here. BUT Tanger is only 2 exits over anyway. :)

The Bristol Diner was unappealing and one person in our group got sick from her sandwich.This outlet needs a nice, clean cafe or restaurant where you can sit down.

We've visited before but stopped by after sunday brunch this weekend.My wife and I first hit the Swarovski store - very helpful staff and surprisingly good selection. The beauty of this store is that they retail the pieces from former years and also many "retired", so if you saw something a while ago and the regular store doesn't have it it could be here. Prices were very reasonable.Also went into Nautica, whose products I have always really likes. Somewhat limited selection but after all its an outlet store and much of what they had was very reasonably priced.My wife hit Nine West and looked at a bunch of shoes but (thankfully) made no purchases.They have some interesting food choices, a kettle corn stand and the Spuds Your Way truck was very good. They really seem to be making an effort, which was evident by the large number of people walking around on a rather cool late Sunday afternoon.

I guess the word "Premium" in the title of the attraction says it all. I think we were focusing on the word "Outlets" and were greatly dissappointed. We found in most of these stores the prices were no better than a sale in a regular store. This was the case in every store we went to.

This year took a outlet shopping break. Started off in Lake George and ended up in Cromwell CT. While kids were in Seminar the adults who were not in Seminar decided to go to the outlets. Off we went , not bad , took us about 30-60 mins . Plenty of parking and gorgeous day to walk and shop. Loved the size and store set up if Under Armor store, did some nice shopping. Will definitely go back this October for Columbus weekend sales.

The 2nd smallest outlet I have ever visited. Th offer were not that attractive. There is even no food court in the area, only few food trucks.

All around decent stores with easy parking options. Saks and Banana are by far my favorite stores to stop in and twice now I've gotten awesome deals on shoes at Saks. The Gap only carries their outlet-based line, so don't go expecting to get much that you might have seen in a normal store. Banana tends to have a decent variety between both the outlet and main line. While I absolutely love Kate Spade I found the outlet store overpriced for the solely-designed-for-outlet line. For the same price you can purchase better quality items from the main line. One other quick tip, if you plan to visit the outlets for the day, definitely head off-site for lunch as the food options are rather stale.

An overcast day and the perfect time to visit Premium Outlets @ Clinton Crossing, Exit 63. Visited many favorites : Michael Kors, J. Crew, Gap, Brooks Brothers, Ann Taylor, Cole Haan etc. A pleasant way to spend the day. Close proximity to Old Lyme, Essex, Saybrook. Enjoy!

There's a nice selection of more upscale stores at Clinton Crossing, and I never have a problem finding a bargain. The Ann Taylor's, Talbots, Jones, Ralph Lauren, and many more have great deals and constant sales. Nike, Under Armour, and Adidas for great running, sports clothing and sneakers. Izod for golf and tennis wear. Love Cole Haan, Coach, Fossil and shoe stores galore. And, top it off by driving to Coldstone Creamery down the street for an ice cream.Convenient to I-95, easy on, easy off.

We made our annual shopping pilgrimage to Clinton Crossings. It is a lovely outdoor shopping. Even on holiday weekends, it's pleasant. Use your AAA card to get a coupon book. Some stores change. Sadly, Juicy Coutre closed. The Coach shop is always packed and has great buys. Mens clothing is great as are women's shoes. Staff are very courteous and helpful.

My boyfriend and I always come here in August when the sales come out for "back to school" this means more clearance is out out too. Stores with great bargains GAP, Nike, fizziWigs candy shop, yankee candle, and more. The only negative is that there isn't anywhere to healthy to eat

I've enjoyed occasionally going to the outlets, but I can't say I go very often. Yet, there's a difference learned about the hard way today btwn. Clinton and the Tanger outlet:I took my eldest daughter, age 4, to the Tanger Outlets in Westbrook, CT on 7/12/14. We parked in the perimeter parking area and were waiting for traffic to pass to then cross, however a tall dark-haired man wearing dark sunglasses said to stay on the road, [then to cross]. I nodded, and while holding my daughter’s hand, we followed along the road and then crossed. After crossing, I curiously asked what it was that we were avoiding. He said the mulch, which people can trip on since it is not compact. There was a narrow strip of mulch (perhaps 5’) where across the street where we stood when he made his statement. I said: “Someone tripped on it?” He said: “Not on my watch.”I said: “Oh. Did it happen before?”He said: “It’s none of your business.” I inquired: “I was just curious.”He replied: “Why the hell do you want to know?”I said in a moderately quite voice, as my hand still held my daughter’s: “Don’t talk to me that way in front of my child.”He told me to leave, and as I readied to leave, I asked his name, to which he refused to tell me. As I walked away, I felt very uncomfortable. I saw no one wearing a Tanger shirt, so I reached for my phone. I hoped to ensure no one else would endure this experience by letting a manager know what happened. In doing so, I noticed my hand was shaking to the point where it was hard to dial the number to the Tanger office. But, I managed to do so and then saw an employee, whom I asked if I may speak to a manager. She brought me to one. However, the man she brought me to was the very man who affected me and my daughter! When he saw me, he said: “I want you to leave.” I said I’m here to bring my daughter to the food and other event. I then said I’d like to speak to a manager, and he said: “I am the manager.”, to which I requested to speak to his manager and what his name is, to which he replied Dave. Dave said, “I’m calling security.” I said: “for what?” He had the gall to say: “You’re harassing me.”He called security, and I had told the employee that brought me there that I had felt threatened by him, then I said: “I’m going to walk away and bring my daughter to what we’re here for.” As I left, I think I heard him cancel the request, but given how I see things work around there when he’s in charge, I can only imagine what was in store for us if I talked to security. I got food for my daughter, and sat down. I then noticed an uncomfortable tightness in my abdomen. We then walked around, as my daughter asked, but as we did the tightness built into a pain. I ended up leaving prematurely, and I don’t see myself returning so long as that man may be there. Truly, there was nothing else to this story of any significance I can identify. I remained polite pretty much the whole time (I did get a bit panicky when he angrily confronted me when the employee brought me to him), though perhaps at a cost. The only silver lining is that I may now be more empathetic toward people dealing with this kind of bullying. A decade ago I had a decade of retail experience. There are many places with zero tolerance for this kind of behavior by a manager, and despite having two kids and a 1-month old, I felt it worth my time to write about this experience to try and help others avoid the assistant manager of Tanger Outlets, Westbrook, CT. But, whatever happens next is up to whomever that can do something that reads about my experience.

I missed this place now since we moved out of CT......When we discovered this haven, we frequent here since I enjoyed shopping here. I loved their outlet stores here from bags, perfumes, shoes, clothes, etc. name it...you have it!!! The only downside is the restaurant as they don't have a place/s to eat. Come to think of it, there are lots of people who shop here and pretty sure dead tired hungry after shopping but ended up with nothing except for a small burger joint and hotdog stand......I don't get it????? But anyway, since I enjoyed shopping, guess won't complain much!!!! Lol....

The only down side is the lack of food services. Great outlet shopping and great deals every time I've been. DKNY is one of my favorites; sales people are amazing. Always helpful and find clothes I wouldn't have picked out but look great on me. They know their stuff. Izod is another must stop with great deals. Also love Swarovski and Banana Republic.

Very nice way to spend a couple of hours. Very well cared for and safe. Have never been there without finding something I didn't need. Great variety of shops and always good deals. Could use a restaurant.
