It's huge! They have an enormous area of real stuffed animals. They have big fish. They have different areas in the store for different outdoor sports. They have a fishing department that sells everything from lures to boats. They have archery, guns, ammo. They have a big area for camping. They even have a restaraunt.
Cabelas is the ultimate outdoorsmans toy store! I f you need anythinf for hunting, you will find it here. Also they have a caferteria style restaurant. This Cabelas is located next to Rentschler Field.
The store seemed like it has everything for the outdoor person.. I purchased a 3-in-1 Jacket (Cabela brand) and i am totally happy with my purchase.. They have an aquarium in the middle of the store always nice to have a good attraction..
Everything and anything to do with outdoor recreation, and some indoor- if you have a burning desire for a camo recliner. Seriously, there is a tremendous variety of products and range of prices. If you can- shop the sales, prices on most sale items are hard to beat. Service is hit or miss, i have had sales people walk away practically in the middle of a conversation, on the other hand on my last visit Rob in binoculars spent a lot of time trying to find binoculars that would fit my fat head IPD, to no avail, but he did give me some ideas about out of production models that would work- terrific effort. Returns counter is a nightmare. even when fully staffed I spent fortyfive minutes in line with 6 people in front of me and four staffers manning the registers. Restaurant (cafeteria?) is ok- but i doubt anyone travels here just for food. Certainly worth a visit- unless you are on a mission- prepare to spend several hours and only cover a fraction of the sales floor.
Cabela's is fun to shop, great selection of outdoor wear and sporting goods. Bass Pro in Foxboro has better prices and a frequent buyer club that doesn't require you to get a credit card. That keeps me from giving Cabela's 5 stars.
This was my first time at Cabelas and to describe it as horrific would be an understatement. The store and selection at Cabelas is pretty good for men. It’s not so good for women. I spent about 3 hours shopping and had around $700 worth of merchandise in my cart. Everywhere you went in the store they were hawking the Cabelas Credit Card and the sales pitch was “Get our employee discount where you will save 5-20% off EVERY item (depending on the item) and $25 in Cabelas bucks if you were approved.” There were people setup all around the store and aggressively trying to sell this credit card.I am not normally someone who will sign up for a store card. After repeatedly asking multiple employees if the discount was off EVERY item, I decided to sign up because I was spending a decent amount of money and figured the savings would be worth it. Boy was I wrong. Before checkout I went back down near the main entrance and re-verified the details of the card to make sure it was worth my while. It was verified to me by the person working the table that you “Get our employee discount where you will save 5-20% off EVERY item (depending on the item) and $25 in Cabelas bucks if you were approved.” I took the leap and signed up. That’s where the problems began. I was told the process only takes a couple of minutes because Cabelas owns their own bank. After sitting there 20+ minutes I started asking what was going on. I was told that they had to verify my income. Another 10 minutes goes by and nothing. Then another few minutes and they ask me to come over to the credit card desk surrounded by numerous customers to talk to someone on the phone who wants to verify my income. I get on the phone and they ask me to tell them my income. I explained that I wrote it on the application and I’m not saying it out loud at a credit card desk surrounded by multitudes of people. The person on the phone explains that if I don’t, then I can’t get the card. I say “OK, cancel my application.”I go to walk away and am holding the employee discount coupon when a very nasty lady who I later find out is named Jennifer Severino yells from the desk to “take away my coupon” because I now no longer qualify for the employee discount. In a normal situation I would leave the store and not spend anything at this point out of principle but since I spent about 3 hours shopping I kept a level head. I come back to the desk and ask for the manager because this situation is ridiculous and Jennifer says in a nasty manner that she IS the manager. We have a discussion where I explain why I cancelled the application and that since putting my income on a credit card application is a legally binding document and that saying it out loud is putting me in an uncomfortable situation, I shouldn’t have to do it. After she realizes that I’m 100% right she starts getting a little more pleasant and calls the “bank” to see what other options we have. They end up giving me the phone again, then say my income over the phone and I just say “yes that’s correct.” They then say it will be a couple of minutes to get me my card and I’ll be on my way. Way more then a couple of minutes go by and I just give up and say forget it, you’ve wasted enough of my time.I go to the register to checkout and when the coupon is scanned against the items the discount is rather insignificant (nowhere near what it should have been). I ask how that’s possible since every item is supposed to be 5-20% off. The cashier explains that it doesn’t count towards sale items and since most of the items in my cart are sale items, I don’t get a discount. This is completely contrary to what every one else said everywhere else in the store. After I checkout I go back to Jennifer Severino to complain that the way that these credit cards/employee discounts are being marketed in the store are deceptive and that not one person explained that it didn’t pertain to sale items. She basically blew me off. I asked to talk to the store manager which she refused to get for me and also refused to give me their full name. She said her name is Carla but didn’t give me a way to contact her or her full name. I let Jennifer know that her name would be mentioned in my complaint to the state attorney general for deceptive advertising practices. The employees at Cabelas are not particularly nice. Cabelas push to get loyalty through a credit card certainly backfired here since I will never go back to Cabelas again. If I were Cabelas Corporate I would do a thorough investigation into how the credit card department and this store were being run.
The only reason I may go in is for a quick, good, and more than reasonable priced food. The gift shop also used to carry very good fudge.
There is a bit of everything for that outdoors type person here. The indoor display of the animals and aquarium amazed the kids and there was plenty of clothing to shop for as well.
Cabelas has a great selection of all things for sports fishing, outdoor life, and hunters (fire arms, archery, crossboe, etc.). Sale items and bargain cave have excellent bargains.Best yet, they can be depended upon for big and tall sizes and sizes for really big feet. The food bar carries some exotic choices as well reasonably proces. For local residents catalog orders can be picked up at the store w/o shipping charges.
Its never just in and out wen ur really trying to go fishing there is not enuff worker in the fishing section sometimes I to there to grab live baits quick and end up wait for 30 mins to an hr sometimes and there's lot of workers just walking around doing nothing...no they can help cuz they don't know. ..I think there worker's should be great trained in multiple field so they can be of better help to customers
We went here on a rainy day, we are a hunting/ fishing outdoorsy sort of family. Which means we did all these things before two little ones lol. We have two young kids ( toddlers) and they loved this place. First YOU MUST buy a donut if that faddys truck is out front WOW. Ok but the store has a small aquarium hunting diaramas and animals everywhere ( taxidermy) the kids loved it. There is a family restroom (clean) and a food court upstairs with quick picky type food for the im hungrysMy husband was in paradise as he got to shop and browse for items without the are we done yet ? Also I am a big fan of their clothes so warm and beyond durable. The place is a great store to keep kids busy while you shop. Very friendly staff who are helpful and knowledgeable. We loved it! And ... We were there for 4 hours and it seemed like 20 mins.
Never been to a Cabela's before. This was amazingly big store. There were fish aquariums you can walk under, dioramas of animals, even one of those shooting game you see at fairs. It's interesting to see what hunters and campers, etc buy.
Went to exchange a fishing reel.instead of politely asking me to take the reel out of the bag so she could see it.she proceded to just grab the bag out of my hand an start going through it. When i ask her to stop she proceded to have a attitude with me and informed me that she would call security. This company needs to rethink how they train the employees.
Kids were not nagging to leave because they were having fun while we shop. The kids were busy with the shooting range, camping tents, food court.
Great store .Everything one needs for the outdoors under one roof.Even had lunch food was better than I thought
