This was our second time walking this trail, and we can do it again and again. This area has so amazing scenic views, places to visit and vegetation depending on the season that it seams it always has something new to see!We were 3 families with our children, from teenagers to kids. All of them had an amazing time going up and down the trails. It all starts at the old bridge, then the falls and there the trail starts. It has some elevations so you have to take your time if you have kids with you. Take some snacks and water (don't drink from the river, we were told it's not safe…)Once you are at the summit, go a little further following some arrow sings and you'll get to an amazing place where you can rest having a great view of the Housatonic river.

It was our first covered bridge in the Northeast. I am all about the photography and I couldn't wait to see all the covered bridges...this was my first of many.

This area has it all, water falls (over several dams), great hiking trails wild-life viewing. It even has a covered bridge. Walk sections of the AT while you visit. Heading south is a bit more scenic, so if you are short on time try it first. The northern section of the trail you need to walk farther to see cool things.

Good simple food, and good serviceExcellent ribs, and chicken, however the salad bar is below average

Nice stop on the way to Kent or Kent Falls. Take a hike down onto the rocks. You can get a nice photo of the bridge that way

A plain, simple country restaurant with very reliable food. The staff is always friendly. A good salad bar is included with each main course. Roast beef on Friday and Saturday nights is excellent, but go early as it is very popular.

The covers bridge is really great especially for those of us,that have never crossed one. The rushing falls and quiet tree-lined road leading to and from the bridge make for a picturesque event.

Drive through the bridge, then get out of the car for a few minutes, park and climb down the bank to the water to watch it rush past you.

Although the Appalacian trail runs through here there is a path that swings all the way back around that is mostly flat and tended to. Unfortunately you are no longer able to swim here but there are plenty of places to lounge on the banks of the river.

Whether you just hop out for a quick look, or hike a bit this spot is a local treasure. there's views of water falls and wonderful big boulders to climb or just sit and watch the river rush by.

It's all about the simple things done right, a nice range of day's specials on the blackboard and a friendly vibe at the bar and in the dining room. Best burger around, excellent prime rib on weekends and always a choice of well-prepared fish dishes. The large front room lacks charm; if you care, ask for a booth or table beyond the bar.

I don't hike much but I was able to hike here...nice scenery and not too rocky! I didn't see all of it. We hiked for about an hour and that was easy to handle.
