Wesleyan campus is spread over several streets in Middletown, so much that the roads are public. Many buildings are quaint and historic.
Beautiful campus to walk around. Ate lunch at the Student Center, it was pretty good. As we were on campus in July, it was very quiet and there were very few students.
On February 15, 2013 me, my son and my wife came on a tour. It was very icy when we went. We did not attend the info session. We had a tour guide named David he was a history major. He told us about his major. It was a good tour. He shared lots of facts enough to fill 7 pages. We had to walk along time to go to the athletic facilities. I wish he stayed in the music and student center area longer. It would also have been nice to see a classroom. X rating 6.8
I am so happy my daughter is able to attend this university. The students, faculty and staff are top-notch and I enjoyed interacting with everyone I met. I attended a dance performance and spoke with some very intelligent students who will no doubt be making changes in our world.
The Center for The Humanities put on a great conference: fora papers, informal panel discussion, and friendly receptions.
Enjoyed my year immensely. sreting Rowing club and acted in the theatre. I think I did some work too, but can't remember
Wesleyan campus is kind of small but College Row, on High Street is a beautiful spot to talk a walk by or visit. The University frequently hosts weddings at it's chapels and those have to produce some of the nicest wedding pictures ever. I would check out their website and see if you can catch any activities at the arts center or the art gallery, there is almost always something going on.
The Wesleyan Campus is nice because it has historic buildings and is green and lush, but besides that I don't think it is anything special. I also don't like how it is completely opened to the town of Middletown. I guess it is worth a look while in Connecticut, but I've seen better campuses.
Wesleyan has a lot to offer the surrounding community. Take a look at their site for current activities. While there enjoy a walk around Middletown and have lunch at one of the restaurants.
Loved it 20 years ago and it's always great to go back. Despite rain the entire weekend and frigid May temps, I had a great time,
One of the most beautiful university campuses around. Worth a short trip to visit. And a great place to study!
I've never really been to Wesleyan but my mother got two or more teaching degrees here and I think she would live there and be a perpetual student she loved it so much!
We had a fantastic time at Wesleyan University. We went to information session and tour and found it so helpful. We really enjoyed Spring Awakening on Friday night and what a lovely night's entertainment we had with The Wesleyan University Orchestra on Saturday night. The food in Wesleyan was super and so delicious, such variety! and the staff were so welcoming to us and were so friendly. We enjoyed every minute of our time there and we hope to make a trip there in a few years time.A great experience overall and the students and staff were so friendly. So much to see and do around the University!Everyone was so helpful.
Wes U is worth a trip if you want to walk across lovely open yards and streets. The campus is large for a small population of students, <3000 undergrad & graduates. The campus includes large mansions from the 1800's which are now academic facilities. Drive along High Street to see the postcard view of the main business buildings and chapel. If you drive up Church St you will see the science buildings and some of the dormitory buildings, as well as the sports center. This is a charming college environment within walking distance of downtown Middletown CT. The campus tour is very entertaining and takes about 90 minutes. Check in at the Admissions Building or go online to schedule a tour. Worth seeing, particularly if you have a student shopping for an excellent college education.
Beautiful campus with lots to see and things to do - even if you are not a student there. Buddah Chapel is nice, and the workshops offered are interesting.
