Always wanted to go inside and see what it was about but we really just parked in their parking lot and went to the beach across the street. This was in 1998, don't know if they will tow you now. But this part of the beach was MUCH nicer than the beach down in the town of Virginia Beach/Strip etc...

I visit A.R.E. once or twice a year. It's a great place if you are interested in "why are we here?" and "have we all been here before?" and other such weighty topics. But it's also a great place to relax in the meditation garden in summer or the third-floor meditation room with a view of the ocean in winter. It's a great place to get a massage or a book on dream interpretation or to take a yoga class. It really is "all things for all people" if you are interested in any of the topics above.

We are really into the re-encarnation and other spiritual and native american studies. multi-event area with courses and speakers.

I attended Ancient Alien conference and enjoyed very much. Have been here in past and enjoyed when Zawi Hawass presented Egyptian discoveries.

My wife and I attended the conference "Life Everlasting" featuring Eben Alexander. The presenters discussed near death experiences and contact with those that have crossed over. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. The spirit mediums were incredibly accurate. Eben Alexander is a great lecturer with an important message. I would attend again to hear the same presentation.

Spent the day enjoying the center, meditating and learning more about Edgar Cayce. So many things to do for our spiritual soul, a great place to unwind and relax. Will definitely be going back, there is a great energy there.

Having read the story of Edgar Cayce many year ago I was looking forward to visiting the A.R.E Association for Research and Enlightenment facility and I wasn't disappointed. The tour was very interesting and the buildings were clean and well kept.

Came for Ancient Mysteries Conference. But some of the speakers were a little 'off'. A little? No, actually way flakey.But that is not indicative of the place. The center was clean, staff friendly. This place is one where this is your destination.Take things in stride, everyone has their own views and while theirs may be crazy sounding....they do respect yours. So they don't try to 'convert' you.

I am glad that we visited. I'm not sure what I expected, but we attended a lecture and watched the video. It was an interesting experience.

But Virginia Beach is special because Edgar Cayce had a unique skill to bring to life memories of the future! What a fascinating man.

The A.R.E. is a good place to buy and self help book or just see what's new in the world of the soul.

Was very excited to find this place. Had forgotten Edgar Cayce was from Virginia Beach. Very nice facility and educational talks. We left our camera there and they shipped it to us overnight without even letting us pay for the postage.

This spa and health center is one of my go places when I am at Virginia Beach. They have recently completely a huge rennovation of the massage center. While I love the upgrades outside and the ambiance in the rooms is very relaxing, I do miss the charm of the smaller welcome center. The new lobby if rather stark, no cosy nook to read of relax in. But still the experience was awesome as always, best place to get a massage and facial or other holistic treatment.

We always come here when we are in VA Beach. We are members and go for free lectures, meditations, and the meditation room. I also get massages or Reiki when I am there. They have just completed a new addition which is great and we spent plenty of time in the bookstore.
