I had o spend a weekend in Plano recently on business. Knowing I'd be laid up, my wife thought I'd like a shopping list to buy some kids clothes!!After conceding to my better's request, I set out on a Saturday morning and arrived shortly after 10am. The place is large enough but not overpowering and small enough that I could get through the list in less than 2 hours.Highly recommended with some great deals and some fantastic brands....
This is the only functioning discount mall in the immediate area as others not too far away are no longer are in business. It is easy to get in and out of the mall, as there is more than one entrance and more than one exit. Granted traffic does back up off of Highway 75 when everyone tries to turn into the complex via the right lane. Just go around the lane and turn right at the next street and that will take you into the mall. There is usually plenty of parking spaces at the mall except for special times like at Christmas when parking close in may be a problem. Now why did we go to the mall? To shop for some fantastic bargains. Well not exactly---as we have noticed that some retailers have prices that may be lower than those charged by the discount stores for the same identical item. You have to shop for a good price as many of the stores don't seem to always discount that heavily. Look for sale signs indicating that regular prices have been further reduced. This mall contains a nice variety of name brand stores.
Tip: If traffic going into this shopping center is jammed up, stop, turn around and go someplace else! We went on a Saturday afternoon and the place was very nearly gridlocked. We spent more time getting in and out than in the stores. (We were looking for a couple of specific items, not browsing.) There was nobody directing cars or pedestrians. Bring lots of patience, if you go.In addition, we were disappointed - at Jockey and Levi's - with the prices for the things we wanted, and bought nothing. And there was no soap in the men's restroom.
Good choice of stores, plenty of parking and very close to the Hampton Inn. Well set out and good variety.
Found some great deals, but don't buy at the first store you visit look around first because some of the stores carry the same items at a lower price especially watches and jewerly
I was a quite disappointed with this outlet. I found it a LOT more expensive than the ones in Las Vegas, NY/NJ, California... In my other visits to outlets in the US I used to buy a full suitcase to take back to Europe; here I left empty handed. In particular the Ralph shop does not have much interesting stuff.
Parking can be a little bit of an issue at times, but worth it for the deals you can get there. Great stores, many upscale, and you can almost always find great buys. Take your time and plan to spend several hours to get the best deals.
Parking is horrible because the outlet is great. Avoid peak hours. Store and product selection very refined. We stop by every time I drive through North Texas.
This was my 1st time at this particular location! We drove to Tanger Outlet and was very disappointed because they didn't have a variety of stores. We were going to drive to San Marcus but didn't because it was kind of late in the day. My fiance' goggled "outlet malls" and Allen Premium came up and we headed that way via the Maps app on my iPhone. When we got there, we were amazed at the atmosphere. We walked around the entire strip and had a great time! We bought several Christmas items for different stores and saved alot of money! I bought a pair of shoes that don't fit so that's my reason to go back lol..........this will be my shopping place forever!
I shopped here just after the Christmas Holidays. I drove there. There was ample parking right in front of the stores. They layout is in an inverted Doughnut so that you can stand in the center and see all stores. There are not enough maps on the sidewalks, in my opinion, but I learned that each store desk carries paper maps. The real winner here is the location. Within minutes there are 2 different shopping malls, several places to get coffee, lunch, a bite to eat, or a fancy dinner. I experienced no problems with traffic. Restrooms were clean with vending machines available in the hallway of the restroom area.
I spent six hours here!!!!!It was a huge mall with some great specials - and I didn't even make it to Neiman Marcus in the centre of the parking lot. Definitely coming back next year when we visit. I was staying at Stonebriars in Frisco and it was about a $20 Uber ride each way. Only negative - there are only a few food outletss in the food court area, could have done with more options .... especially as a coffee and a bun would have gone down a treat halfway around my expedition!!!
A nice variety of shops which are clean and generally well staffed. The downsides are 1. One one restroom area for so much geography (don't risk getting too far away with a small child!) 2. Driving through the parking lot is very frustrating and difficult. Combining heavy auto traffic with heavy pedestrian traffic makes for a tense experience .
Nice small outlet. Enjoy shopping would visit again. Lot of construction on the freeway so are trip back to oklahoma was a bit long.
Allen Premium is truly a Premium outlet. It is only one mile from our home, we, thus, tend to take it for granted. We have found many great buys there. Especially in Coach, Cole Haan, Brooks Brothers, Kasper and Famous Footwear. They have many major brand outlets. We also take advantage of the outlets to purchase gift cards for Christmas presents and gifts.
It is a really small outlet mall as far as those things go, but they have all the major brands you need. Traffic can be horrendously bad around peak shoppong seasons. Some things at regular mall price but it is better than mall because you can dump in the car and keep shopping. Whole Foods across the street and the Stacy Road restaurant strip major bonus.
