This place was really neat. Weather was perfect too about 65 degrees. Don't want to spoil the attractions but they were worth the drive from hurst to canton. Definitely worth checking out with the family on a cool fall day
I must admit I had low expectations, but after a rather fun day in the farm I must say that is was worth the visit.More than a farm, it is a theme park with old and noisy rides, and all kind of weird attractions. The pig race was fun enough (but you must sit in first line to enjoy) and the apple cannon was the best (the compressed air canon shooting at targets was worth waiting in line for, I assure you). Please note, though that all rides are for an extra fee ($2 per person), so if with kids you can end up spending more than you expected. I downgraded the rating mostly because of this. There's food stands, at reasonable prices, but not very exciting sandwiches. The lemonade is great though. The main attraction, the corn maze, is OK, but not very "mazy". The route is clearly only one, so there's no way to get lost. And the kids has made shortcuts everywhere so it was kind of spoiled. Be advised that on a hot day the visit can be challenging with kids, as some places has no shade, specially at the food stands.
The rides are old, outdated, used and rusted carnival rides from years ago but my toddler enjoyed them. A 4 year doesnt care and she had a blast. The rides are only geared towards small children 2-5 roughly. The drinks are expensive, the sasparilla was FLAT and NASTY. The corn maze was fun but not much of a "maze", made it out in less than 10 minutes. Overall, it was Worth the drive for our little girl. If we didnt have a small child, I would say it's not worth the drive. (1 1/2 hrs for us).
ProsA reasonable attactions for kidsCorn maizecountry side ConsThey wont take ride tickets back if you are left with any by end of day. You have to buy more than expected as you have to walk to entrance to get some extra tickets if you want...Rides are very old Worst part is if you want to eat there, spend atleast 45 mins in line and wait for the food...
I was disappointed for several reasons. First, I understood they accepted credit cards are/were accepted. This is true except they are only accepted on weekends. I do not understand why credit cards were only accepted on weekends. The young girls scolded me for not clarifying when I called that I was visiting during the week. Second, more that half of the park was closed because it was during the week. I would appreciate knowing most of the rides and concessions were closed. Third, the policies are not enforced consistently. Another adult wanted to slide with her daughter. She was told doubles were not permitted. However, I was asked to slide with my daughter who is roughly the same height and weight - and I weight more that the mother. Fourth, their idea of restrooms were filthy port-a-potties. I had a pregnant wife and two little girls. Fifth, I am mobility impaired. I was told the handicap parking were reserved for buses. Yes they were kind and let me park closer. But the handicap spaces would have substantially helped. I just was not impressed considering the distance and cost.
This place is terrific. The corn maze was lots of fun; the staff was uniformly friendly, kind and helpful. The kids enjoyed the hokey pig races, the cannons that shot apples at targets at 130 mph (our favorite), and even the slides. Admittedly, although the rides are mainly geared towards the 8 and under crowd, there was still lots of fun stuff for our older kids (even our teenager who offered his nod of approval, which is not always an easy get). Simply put, this place made for a great family day.
So many great things to do. Pony rides were my kids favorite thing to do! The service was great and friendly staff. Great food and entertainment
The rides and attractions are geared towards small children. My kids are 2 and 6 and they were able to ride just about everything (2 year old was too small but there was PLENTY for her to do also). It was not crowded so no waiting in line for hours and almost all rides they were able to just walk right up and get on with NO waiting at all. Pig races were very entertaining and the staff is nice. The millions of photo opportunities are just icing on the cake. It really is fun for the whole family!
I took my 2 & 3 old in 2012 and had the most amazing time! There are sooo many things to do and my kids were never bored. We rode all the rides, did the corn maze, watched the pig races, took the most adorable pumpkin patch pictures, and much more. Don't miss this wonderful place! We will definitely be back this year!!
Great for kids and for your fall pumpkin patch and Christmas Tree farm needs. We always get our pumpkin and trees from here and people always ask why ours stay better looking and a live longer. It has amazement rides, concession stand, a corn cannon (my favorite), and a pumpkin launcher. Not to mention a Corn Maze, hay rides, and a bunch of photo opportunities for you and the kids. My family and I just love this place! It's way more than a farm with a petting zoo, it is a day of entertainment for the kids!
