verizon theatre at grand prairie

I'm reviewing the venue and not any acts I've seen here. It's extremely frustrating to have to pay $15 for parking and still have to walk 3/4's of a mile to get to the theater. It is a sham. The tickets are already over priced. If other high quality venues can have at least easy access to free parking then why can't you. Though this is not an issue for me I feel I should inform you that there is no restrooms on the second floor...at all. I'm young enough if can walk across the venue to go to the restroom. However, I feel sorry for the elderly people who happen to be in that situation, so be advised if this is a possible issue for you. Back to parking, kind of like texasduckkiller stated part of my frustration probably comes from the miss management and chaos of the parking situation and then you funnel me into a line expecting me to pay cash for this miss management which I may or may not have on me at the time. So if I don't have the cash on me at that time I have to give you my driver's license and then find the box office at the end of the show to pay my $15 to walk back to my car. If your going to nickel and dime me for every little thing at least let me know when I buy the tickets so I can be prepared. I'm going to attempt to not come back here... the Chesapeake Energy Arena in OKC is a much better experience.

Went to see ORiely and Dennis Miller at this venue. It was sold out 2 months prior. Getting into the Parking was a unmanaged mess. Grand Prairie police/traffic control should be more highly involved. There are not ample bathrooms to handle the intermission crowd. Simply put the whole thing is miss managed.

Very easy access, easy to find, park and at the end of the night, get away and onto the Interstate. We attended an Alan Jackson concert. The support acts, Ashley Munroe and Jon Pardi, gave the impression that the acoustics are poor, but the music played before the show was good and when A J came on to do his 100 minutes, sound considerably improved. But then he is a proper country singer. Seats, 308, row BBB, were a bit tight for adults. The theatre staff were enthusiastic and in a couple of cases dancing to the pleasure of many attendees. A recommended venue.

If you have a chance to see a concert here, don't pass it up. Smaller than the arenas, but bigger than a typical theater, it's a great place for stage shows, stand-up, etc.

New Jack Swing Concert featuring: Guy, Tony, Toni, Tone, Al B Sure, After 7. Guy Did really good. Aaron Hall really can dance and sing. But nobody really wants to see a 50 year old man grinding on the floor. Keep your clothes on Aaron Hall and just sing. Tony Toni Tone did a really good job. Raphael Saadiq was replace by someone else. But the guy fits right in. Al B Sure his voice is shot. He looks like a very attractive older man. After 7 did a great job. Very nice concert overall. No phone reception in building.

Liked - ease of getting into and out of the parking lot; the band playing in lobby before show and during break.Disliked - two bathrooms for 4000 people; paying full soda price ($8) when all we wanted was soda/carbonated water. Person behind the counter said "we have to account for the cups"; The video engineer was bad. If a certain musician during the show was called out or playing a solo, the camera would stay focused on leader of the band (Joe Bonamasa) even though he would be looking in that direction as well

My husband and I love to go to hear different music performers at the Grand Prairie Verizon Theatre. It has exceptional sound and we really like it when they use the two large screen TVs so we can see a close up of the group.

My first visit to Verizon Theatre just raised the bar for what I expect out of future shows at all venues. Upon arrival, traffic flow was a little slow getting into the parking lot (there was also a baseball game going on at the stadium across the street)-parking was well directed & cost was not insane ($15 for regular). Ample staff everywhere so there was no waiting in line to get into the venue, there were a ton of concession choices everywhere, it was amazingly clean, smelled fresh, temperature was perfect, and the signage was great-very easy to find seats. Inside the theatre, the main aisles are very wide so it was easy to get to seating and I felt safe if there were a fire or something, everyone could get out easily (not a huge worry for me, just a note for parents who might!). The acoustics were amazing, the sound was perfect from everywhere, there did not appear to be a bad seat in the house. Also, the temperature remained perfect throughout the rock performance I attended-this is a first in the history of concerts attended!!!Exiting after the concert was not bad at all, traffic was well managed & everyone could exit in a timely manner. The concert was beyond great. We had such a good time. The parking was very organized and well lit. The theatre was very nice. Lots of concessions. Afterwards, getting out of the parking lots was a dream. We can not wait to come again.

Due to the UNPROFESSIONAL manner in which Verizon conducts business, I only give it one star. With NO notification other than an 2 x 3 foot sign the evening of the concert saying: Sorry Concert Cancelled. Refund at Point of Purchase. NOTHING ELSE...after a 60 mile drive on a Sunday evening. I will NEVER attend a concert there with all the other awesome venues in Dallas to choose from. VERY disappointed Tab Benoit fan...not sure who to be more upset with...the artist or the venue. NEITHER had the courtesy to even mention the event on their respective websites!

Easy to find, security, friendly staff, elevated concert seating, have been there over a dozen times, never an issue

I was here on June 14 to see Chris Tucker. He was so much better than I had anticipated. It was Wonderful. Good Service before the show. Easy VIP Parking, and quick to get in. Clean Restrooms and Facility. I was impressed.

This little theatre is perfect for a cozy concert with several thousand of your closest friends! Parking was easy and fairly close; the walk to the entrance was not far. There is not a bad seat in the house. The only downside is that the restrooms are located on the main floor.

We have seen Boston and James Taylor at this venue and really enjoyed both concerts. James Taylor went on and on about what a great place the theatre was how he wished they played at more venues like that - size and sound were perfect. Parking is easy- both in and out. This place has the largest number of bathrooms of any large venue that I have ever seen. There are multiple food and drink vendors, water fountains, retail booths, etc. Seats are comfortable and there are no bad views. Theatre was clean and temperature comfortable. Perfect size for smaller concerts.

Ive gone to a lot of concerts all over Texas and this by far has been the worst venue ever! I got a "VIP" Upgrade for my tickets which was totally pointless it literally was just a cheap lanyard and entrance to the stupid mazda club lounge...THATS IT!!!!!!! No drink tickets or food like other VIP Packages that other venues do. No RR on upper level or much of anything else as a matter of fact. Venue itself was ehhh #NOTIMPRESSED
