July 26, 2014 we visited with a senior group. The center is really nice and spacious. The staff took us to the library and gave us an overview of the Czech community, how they came to LaGrange, etc. Nice displays of artifacts, mannequins with beautiful and colorful clothing, a cute gift shop, clean restrooms. Several old houses were relocated on the property behind the center where visitors can walk through and get an idea what life was like for the early Czechs.Admission fee: $5.00.

My husband's family has a Czech heritage and the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center was a delight. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the displays, genealogy center, and souvenir shop. We will be back when we have more time to focus on the genealogy center. They do not charge a fee, but accept donations. P.S. They even have a lovely banquet room to rent for functions.
