My wife and I found Lone Star winery by chance. We had an hour before our movie was to start and we decided to go to downtown McKinney. Upon entering, we were entranced by the ambience and friendly atmosphere. Ruby made us feel at home and layed out a selection of wine. 3 years later and we find ourselves going back on a regular basis. Don't miss this place. You will find a new home. Oh, their wine is great!

We were ambling through McKinney with a couple of friends and came across the Lone Star Cellars and decided to wander in. The building and ambiance were lovely. The music and the staff were pleasant. However, we were actually there to taste the wines. We tried a couple of different wines both red and white. None of us drank more than a couple of sips. I love wine but was unsure of what was in my sitting in my glass. Obviously wine is very much a personal taste but for for all 4 of us these were down there the worst wines we have ever tasted.

Talk about your local "Cheers" winery. This place has it all! The emplyees are knowledgeable, personable, and most importantly fun!!!! They do not meet a stanger. This little winery has it all. You want a quiet area to sit and enjoy the day or talk....they have it. You want to sit at the bar and enjoy good company....they have it. This place is a do not miss on any trip to McKinney. PS The wine is very good too! :)

We love going here!! Great selection of of wines. Most weekends there is live music from local musicians playing. They have a small patio we so enjoy sitting out on cool summer nights.

The owners and staff at Lone Star Wine Cellars make you feel like one of the family. The wine is outstanding.

I just love the small town atmosphere of Lone Star Winery in McKinney. I am a wine club member and frequent the winery a couple times a month to listen to music on the weekends, have a glass or two of their amazing wine and catch up with old friends who have made this awesome winery their local hang out. The owners and staff are friendly, helpful and just great people. Next time your in McKinney make the Lone Star Winery a "must do" on your list.

Lone Star Wine Cellars is a great place for wine and friendly service. Rubye and staff treats you like you are family and everyone knows everyone, kinda like Cheers.....the wine is awesome and you can even try it before you drink it. If you are a wine club member then you get a free glass every time you visit and who doesn't love free wine! So come on out to Lone Star Wine Cellars to meet new people and enjoy awesome wine.

The Lone Star Wine Cellars staff really make the place everything special that it is; the wine is great too! The owners are wonderful and friendly as well. As a member of the wine club you get 4oz free each visit, so if your just passing by why not? The customers are always friendly and it's a place you just feel welcome even if it's your first time in the door. Did I mention the wine is good too!

... or a fun place to enjoy wine and laughs with friends. Always love evenings at Lone Star Wine Cellars located in quaint historic downtown McKinney. After just a couple times, you are greeted as regulars by the owners and staff (Ruby is a GEM and sure does know her wines - ask her for a recommendation if you can't decide what you want!). And the musicians who entertain on the weekends are always wonderfully talented local folks. Snacks are available from the menu or order in something from one of the fine restaurants on the square. You'll be glad you did.

Lone Star winery is an awesome place to visit and hang out a few of your new acquaintances. The staff is friendly and the wines are tasty, a wide variety to please everyone's palate.

We recently joined the wine club at the suggestion of friends and have enjoyed the wines!! First time I went with my teacher girlfriends and we really had a great time and the live music was great!! We went this last week for the Wine club Selection pick-up and had a great party atmosphere!! The owner is very personable and we are looking forward to the upcoming Dallas Wine Trail!!

I have been to Lone Star Wine Cellars on several occasions. I have purchased several of their wines and think they are some of the best in the state. People are so friendly it's a great place to hang out for awhile too. I've sat at the bar several times and met other people who came in and one more than one visit, had a hilariously fun time chatting with them and the folks behind the bar. It's a great place to stop in for a glass in the middle of a shopping trip, or to visit on an evening when they have entertainment and pizza!

Great local little spot perfect for a glass of wine with friends. Good wines and friendly service. Located just off the square and good outdoor seating when weather permits.

Wonderful atmosphere and a wide selection of great wines. Drop in for a casual relaxing environment and most nights the entertainment is very good. Sweet wines are our favorites but they also have some very nice Merlot and Cabernet's.

So stop in Lone Star Wine Bar! With a huge variety of their own wines and other local wineries you are sure to find one you like. A friendly staff and great owners makes this place one you will want to keep going back to. They also have a Wine Club, Live music, fun special events, are part of the Dallas Town and Country Wine Trail and so much more. Closed Mondays.
