Well, so much for the little trip over here from Pleasanton. not a soul around and FOR SALE sign in the front yard.

La Bodega is a great location to have parties, barbeques, picnics and get-togethers providing indoors and outdoors accommodations. I love the landscaping with country style flower pots with rustic accents and cactus. It is the perfect spot for photos providing a whimsical backdrop of southern country and railroad decor. I recommend this spot for its antiques and country charm.

If you're in the Poteet area, you've got to check out La Bodega. Being one of the older buildings in town, it has that great old timey feel, but has been revamped to give it an artistic twist. With covered outdoor seating, a stage for preforming and an antique shop with an array of odds and ends, La Bodega is the perfect venue for all events, public and private. Go check it out! You won't regret it.

Be sure to add Poteet, Texas to your list of towns to visit. Besides being the town that hosts the Annual Poteet Strawberry Fest (which is great fun), it has a unique place to visit called La Bodega. La Bodega is a quaint shop with antiques surrounded by a beautiful outdoor setting that is a great place to relax! The owners Irene and Ed are hosts with a down home hospitality that is rare and wonderful! A must add to your travel bucket list!

My family and I visited the Poteet, Texas for the Strawberry Festival for the first time. We were invited by a friend to view the parade at the Bodega. There couldn't had been a better place. The owner Ed Ramos made us feel relaxed and welcomed. He showed us around the grounds. We took several pictures. Ed was so courtious that after the parade he open the antique shop for us to browse. We purchase serveral unique items. Eventhough the day was very cold, the warm hospitality we received made our day. I recommend anyone that is looking for a quiet, relaxed, well kept facility to host an event to consider the Bodega for your function. I am planning to return from Houston in the near future to enjoy this venue again.....

Be sure to bring your camera if you are attending a function at La Bodega. The owner has created a beautiful oasis with lots of photo ops. This hangout is nestled amid a tiny town that hosts the Annual Poteet Strawberry Festival in April. This site has indoor and outdoor things to see and is a laid back environment for parties and events. Great place to hang out or shop for antiques and collectibles.
