cedar mountain lodge zipline canopy tours

My sister Holly booked for us a 9 line zipline tour at this beautiful lodge near Kaufman TX. We were greeted at our destination warmly with our waivers in hand and were quickly fitted for our ziplining harnesses and gear. Chris and Hayden were our young instructors/guides and gave us a very informative "ground school" where we learned the workings of our gear and important safety rules. We soon we climbing, what looked to me as, a huge tower to do our first line. Chris zipped ahead to be the "receiver" on the next tower, while Hayden professionally hooked us in with last minute instructions and encouragement. Our guides were funny, but always professional as we continued from one line to the other with grades for us to reaching 65 mph. You can do as few as 5 lines and as many as 11. For my sister and I, 9 was the perfect number. A wonderful 3 hours in beautiful East Texas that will be sure to give your adrenaline a kick in the butt..and leave you with a renewed sense of self confidence.

Brought my teens to Cedar Mountain Lodge for the ziplines and wished that I had stayed the entire weekend. The ziplines were plentiful and fast. The views were wonderful. Area peaceful. But what really sets this place apart are the people. We've been in Texas for 15 years and have met many nice people. But I have to say that everyone at Cedar Mountain Lodge were some of the friendliest, most personable people that we have met. They made this trip memorable and I can't wait to schedule another trip. Oh - and their "tree house" looks fabulous...totally need to schedule a weekend stay!

We spent the weekend at Cedar Mountain Lodge and had the best time. The service was top nothc. Art & Cheryl are wonderful. We opted to bring our own food and when we realized we forgot plates and cutlery Cheryl was happy to provide it. We enjoyed spending time by the fire with other guests and the conversations that were had.We stayed in the Tree House - the views were wonderful and it was great to sleep in silence.The young men who ran the zip line were helpful and such a treat to be with. I felt completely safe and was impressed that I even did it! A 93 year old woman was part of our group and she too had a blast!I can't wait to go back with friend!
