st. andrew methodist church

We joined this church because of Dr Scott Engle, the teaching pastor at 9:30 AM.He leads an 11 AM Sunday School that is fantastic. We are seniors and 90% of our knowledge of Christianity has been learned the past five years in this large class.He also leads our church in pilgrimages to Israel. 94 members went with him last October.

I agree with the previous reviewer that this is a gorgeous church, and the congregation is definitely filled with the spirit when you are there. I haven't heard church music that excellent in a long time. The music just emphasizes the message and transports you to a very worshipful place. I will definitely continue attending . . . it looks like there is something for everyone here! It was great to find such an excellent place to worship.

This is a gorgeous church with a beautiful steeple, luxurious sanctuary, and zen-like grounds. I recently visited the 11:00 a.m. service and really enjoyed it. The people seemed quite friendly. The service itself was most inspiring. The choir is huge. The organ is one of the largest that I have ever seen and the sounds "booms" throughout the building. The music was very nice and very much on the more classical side. I attended on All Saints Sunday when a special candle was brought down the aisle and sat on the pulpit reminding us of those who we have lost this past year. There was also a moment in the service where parishioners quietly spoke aloud names of those we have personally lost this year - this was very touching. The message was delivered by Rev. Pam White and was a simple, but inspiring sermon with nice personal touches that I could relate to. Overall it was a wonderful worship experience and I thoroughly enjoyed the visit!

Many different types of services, certainly something for everyone. Sat. evening is casual, Sun 8am is like a small town church, The Well has 2 contemporary services at 9:09 and 10:39. The sanctuary has 2 services at 9:30 and 11:00 which are more traditional, particularly at 11. The head pastor, Robert Hasley is a wonderful person. The facilities are very fresh and visually appealing. The music is great. There are Sunday school classes, Bible studies, Mom-to-Mom group, etc. for getting connected.

Was a member of this church for many years and recently returned when in town for a visit. The church is still beautiful and listening to the pastor is still like watching paint dry.

The clergy here are fun, fair, unpretentious, and overall quite caring and approachable. The place has grown over the years, but it's still THE place to see a holiday service.

SAUMC offers the best of both worlds (traditional or contemporary service) in a very welcoming, friendly environment. A year and a half ago we visited, unsure we'd like a church with so many members. What we found was a great place that made us feel comfortable very quickly and invited us to become part of their community. We are so thrilled with the results. Whether you live nearby and are looking for a new church home or are traveling and looking for a great place to visit, SAUMC should be on your short list.

St. Andrew is a beautiful church for a formal wedding. I have attended many services there and the Minister always has a wonderful message. We always feel very welcome when we visit St. Andrew.
