When I first moved here, I was told that this was the place to rent a tube. Very true. Great service, fair prices, and great delivery back to our cars. The easy going ride on the Comal is great during the week in summer. The holidays? well, it depends on your taste. I don't like bumper to bumper tube talkin' traffic, so I stay away from those days. Great crew, come and enjoy.

This was the 1st time our family had been tubing and the staff at Landa Falls was nice and the air conditioned bus at the end was needed! Couple of tips for anyone who is going for the first time. If you use Landa Falls you will be starting at the furthest point in the river which gives you a long tube ride. We rented black tubes with bottoms for my kids and the coolers so they would have cushion for their bottoms going over the falls. I would get them yellow tubes next time and tell them to lift up over the falls as the mix of a black tube and lots of sunscreen left black marks on their swimsuits. Also, black tubes are hot on hot sunny days. You can also bring your own cooler but be sure to bring bungee cords to hold them in the tubes! We got out of the river on the last exit and it was very crowded and quite deep which made it a struggle to get kids, grandparents, and coolers out while others were pushing to do the same. Next time I’d exit just one prior to the end as it was less crowded and seem shallower.

It was my first ever tubing trip. A great start off point. The people at the tube place were helpful. You get to start your tubing at the farthest point upstream. The pickup was quick and fast at exit point and the bus had A/C..

Parking on site, excellent customer service, the best we have ever had on our trips down the Comal. Only thing they didn't provide was a mesh trash bag.Two hints for those who have never been:1. The river was very low and slow during our visit, had to paddle a lot! Take the time to pull out and re-apply sunscreen (we didn't, big mistake!)2. When going thru the tube shoots, secure any drinks inside your cooler. We didn't expect the shoot to be as rough as it was and had our drinks sitting in the tube and lost two cans. Felt so bad about the accidental littering I purposely picked up litter I found for the rest of the trip.

We rented here for our Comal river float. The people were nice! They had yellow tubes without bottoms and black ones with plastic bottoms for coolers and protection from the rocky bottom.

Pros:Longest float on the Comal, past Landa Falls. Spectacular views and scenary.Cons:Some of the WORST, WORST, WORST SUMMER STAFF/cutomer service, I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED! Been going floating for 30 years and have never, ever been so mistreated!Tube deflated 1/4 down river, had a large hole in it. Had to swim against the river flow back to the put in point.Had to climb a 6 foot concrete, rock wall with NO STEPS to get back up. Scraped up my knees and shoulders badly. Meanwhile, the staff person sitting not 10 ft away was to engrossed in the lil 15 yr old girls to notice or ask if I need any help. Then I get to the counter. Does anyone get up and ask if there is anything they can do? NO. INSTEAD they (all 6 of them), stayed seated and witha tone of absolute annoyance, asked me, "What do you want?"!! I said may I have a new tube? They replied, it will be a 15 to 30 minute wait, and I needed to get away from the counter, because they were busy and I couldn't stand there. Then to add insult to injury, one of the seated boys made loud, vulgar remarks concerning my looks and how his eyes were going to go blind from looking at me..loud enough for all near to hear, including me (which I am sure he meant for me to hear).WOW. REALLY?! NO OFFER OF A NEW TUBE, MONEY REFUND OR APOLOGY OR ANYTHING. They were to lazy to even get up and very rude and snarly.I asked for my keys and left.I WILL NEVER, EVER RETURN. BEEN GOING 16 YEARS. YOU HAVE LOST A LOYAL, LONG-TIME CUSTOMER, because you can't hire summer staff who know how to provide any type of customer service, are extremely lazy (including smart mouths) and need to be fired.MIGHT I SUGGEST TEXAS TUBES. 100% BETTER.

For $15 bucks you get access to the Comal river, a tube to float in, and a ride back to your car when your done. It was worth every penny. Due to the drought conditions the river runs slow and since Landa Falls is the longest float on the river, be sure to bring a couple of twelve packs for the ride.

I loved that this location was easy to get in and out of and that the shuttle picked you up to take you back to your vehicle, but will warn that if you have small childern the exiting the river and walking to meet the shuttle is difficult becuase by the time you make it down the river the little ones are tired, your tired and you still have to carry their tube as well as yours while holding on to them as you cross the street of a road that is not the safest. that would be my only con to this company, but only one comanpy that is significantly more expensive would avoid this.

We started our tubing the Comal River at Landa Falls. You had to rent the tubes there so was the most peaceful part of our float. The farther down where you could get in with your own tubes was crowed. The slide was fun and not as scary as I thought it was going to be. Pick up and back the car was fast. This place has it all figured out and the day went smoothly from start to finish. Will do it again and from this place.

Landa Falls is probably the best access to the Comal River in New Braunfels. It is the longest ride, the facility comes with free parking (no trying to search some side street for a place to park), you can use your own tubes or they have some for you to rent. By far the easiest way to go if you want to float the Comal!

We tubed the Comal for the first time and after reading reviews on Trip Advisor we decided to use Landa Falls. The people were great and the experience was good, but we would have chosen differently if we had known more about the experience. The water is cool but not cold so it made a hot day a lot more comfortable.First the tubing on the Comal is fun and relaxing but there is only a little excitement. There are two places where chutes have been built to allow tubers to go around small waterfall areas. The first chute was exciting and the second chute less so. Other than the two chutes, tubing consists of slowly floating down the river. You can watch scenery, animals and people. For us it became boring long before the end of the river where we were picked up. We were floating on Labor Day weekend and it took about 4 1/2 hours from start to finish. Having the longest float was not a good thing for us, but it may be for others. The additional floating area you get by using Landa Falls is mostly scenic natural area.If we went tubing again, we would rent from Texas Tubes which is closer to the first chute. We would go through the chute and then get out and walk back up above the chute and go through again. Repeat until tired and then float down to the first river exit not the last. Both exits lead to the pickup area to return the tubes so you are just on the river longer if you go to the second exit. We did not realize that we could get out at the first exit and get picked up.Also, you want to know that the tubes with a bottom are black. We were going to get tubes with a bottom, but thought the black would get hotter in the sun. We were happy with the regular tubes and didn't have any problems of bumping the bottom of the river and it looked like the river was lower than normal. So, we had fun, but we wanted it to be over quicker than it was. We were happy with Landa Falls and the people working there.

My family always floats from Land Falls. We use their tubes and the tube for our cooler. We never have to wait too long to be picked up and taken back to our vehicle.

Landa falls is awesome. Provided the longest float on the comal. Easy parking. Allows your own tubes and just pay for shuttles as well. Shuttles are air conditioned!

Landa Falls offers easy access for your family to rent tubes for about a 2 hour float. For a family of four with no cooler, it will cost you $60. You can rent a cooler tube for an additional cost. If your child is under 10 and/or not a good swimmer, I would recommend a life vest if you plan to ride the chutes. A bus picked us up right away to take us back to our car. They will also hold your keys for you while you are gone. A fun time!

We pass the falls all the time but since you have to pay to even see the falls, we can't really give a good review of them as we don't think a person should have to pay for just going there.
