This was a great Zoo. Beautiful birds, a white tiger, and the animals were out and about, even in January. We got tons of great pics with the kids, who had a blast. Definitely worth the $!
I do not like zoos. I think of animal prison. I sure do hope that the animals think we are funny with our antics. This zoo seems to give the animals a decent amount of space and it's clean. If you or anyone in your group likes zoos, this is an excellent one.
My fiancé and I went on a weekday last year and had a great time. The monkeys and penguins interacted with us and seeing the elephants and lions so close was awesome. I've been to bigger zoos with more animals but this was my best experience at a zoo so far
Caldwell Zoo rivals any zoo you'll ever visit in a town this size. Very impressive displays and exhibits. The bird walkabout was a favorite, and also the otters. The price for one visit for a family of four seems a little high to me, but the best deal is an annual family pass.
I was seriously impressed with this zoo. We went on a cool day and it was pretty empty. I think we picked the perfect time! One of the best things for me was that the animals seemed to be happy, clean and well fed. The set up is nice and much of the place has been revamped recently. It was a very nice visit for my young daughters, teen nephew and some varying-aged adults. The price seemed steep but once inside I was satisfied with the value. The outdoor dining area was pretty cool in that it overlooked an African Safari-like setting with giraffes and zebras playing in the panoramic view from the tables. I would visit again.
This is really a great, clean, fun zoo for a small city. We always like coming here. Highly recommend it.
I had a nice time at my niece's birthday party at the zoo.It may not be as big as the Oklahoma City Zoo with the Omniplex nearby, but it us a nice zoo.It was in April, about two years ago. There was a nice indoor facility that we used for her birthday party.I would like to see more things at the Tyler zoo. Things like an educational center and an Imax Theater.
This zoo started out as a private family zoo but has expanded to a full service zoo. Admission is very reasonable and the zoo is small enough to be able to make it through the entire zoo in a day. Great selection of common zoo animals and occasionally a traveling exhibit like white tigers.
My grandkids love visiting this zoo. It is small but well worth it!Our favorites are the elephants and giraffes.
A great place to spend time with your children. A large variety of zoo animals. Easy trails to follow. A great place to just relax or get exercise. Affordable Fee.
Been going to Caldwell Zoo for 50 plus years since it was free to get in. No longer free but worth the trip when in Tyler!
Wonderful! I am ill and can't walk for more than 5-10 minutes at a time. Caldwell Zoo is beautifully landscaped with a lot of shade and benches to rest on. I had a wonderful day. My granddaughter was invited to a birthday party and she loved it. It was so much nicer than the usual birthday party places. I thought that the prices were fair. We especially enjoyed the bird encounter. Everything was very clean with no harsh smells.
The last time I went to the zoo it was free, but it is still a great zoo. It is small but you can see the entire zoo in one day and walk a million miles. We have seen the Dallas Zoo and San Diego Zoo and never did see the entire zoo. For a small town this is a great zoo for children of all ages.
Good mix of animals, birds, education, and scenery. There are a few pretty good slopes to climb, which can be a challenge for the senior crowd, but well worth it!
I've taken my two grandchildren to the Caldwell zoo multiple times. It's just large enough to have a great offering but not so large that you can't enjoy the entire park.
