Parking is front of plaza and free for one hour. It is beautiful to see so stop for a 15 minute walk and appreciate the steers and Cowboys. It is close to West End and worth your time.
A very cool downtown sculpture installation. Definitely a must see if you're in downtown Dallas. Couldn't believe how large each piece was and how many there were. Great photos with the skyline in the background.
Great to see the history of the cattle drive in real life size! Truly wonderful. Worth going and having a look if you are in town.
Did not set out to go here but just found it was we were driving around town. Very cook statues and some nice use of water for a downtown park.
We liked the really cool life sized longhorn and cowboy sculptures. It is much better in person than the pictures.
Pioneer Park is dominated by a set of bronzes depicting a longhorn cattle drive. The scope and detail of this outdoor sculpture is stunning. A herd of cattle, each with individual personalities, cowboys directing the herd, horses on alert, a fly on the butt of a horse, spurs, ropes, all in incredible detail and in bronze. You walk through the exhibit, it’s so large. The bronze cattle take a route through a stream, while visitors can jump the stones provided for humans. You’ll feel as if you are part of the herd!
This is billed as the largest bronze sculpture in the world and that's not hard to believe. The detail and the amount of cattle and horses is nothing short of amazing. Most certainly worth the visit if you're in the area.
It's a fun place for kids and young at heart to climb on to the bronze horses and cows to take photos. It sure captures the essence of cowboys when they entered into the wild wild west!
We visited the place at night time already thus the view of the site is limited though we enjoyed of taking pictures of the wild Carabaos Stature being guide by three Ranchers. The nearby building with sophisticated lighting gave us the opportunity to take picture of such beautiful creative lights. From general picture of the place I think Pioneer Plaza deserve a good visit during day time that one can truly appreciate the beauty of the significant place,
I absolutely loved the steer!! This place exceeded my expectations and the pictures I've seen don't do this place justice.
I have more fun than my guests when I take them to the cattle drive! It is just sooooo Texas and you can get the sense of wranglin' and driving the herd....shepparding an errant critter back to the herd. Great photo opportunity and even in the hottest days of summer, there is a good chance of a cool breeze off of the water. All my visitors are treated to Pioneer Plaza!!
We visited early on a very cold morning and were alone with the sculptures, extremely impressive, awesome to wander through the herd and examine the details of the individual works as well as drink in the overall impact of this huge tableau. A must see in Dallas, be there early and parking is easy, and free.
Wow. This outdoor sculpture is quite extensive, with many many cattle driving through the stream. I've seen the photos but in-person, it's quite a sight.
If you are visiting Dallas, you might as well include this in your itinerary. This place is unique and tells a whole of story. Sculpture design of horses in motion is very beautiful. Spaces in parking lot is expensive, $30 dollars for 3 hours. So better park in the streets, you will need approximately 30 minutes to appreciate the plaza.
Walk down to Pioneer Plaza and see the bronze steer and cowboys! This was an amazing site and something for all ages to experience.
