mcallen convention center

This a great venue for shows in McAllen and we like it because it is only about 5 mins away from where we live. Will watch the paper and tv for the next event.

Very nice and big venue. Many shops nearby and restaurants too!Clean facilities and restrooms. Friendly staff too.

If you want a first class event that does not require arena type venue then this is it. Clean and properly staffed the MCC is the best Mcallen has to offer.

The new convention center is beautiful on the outside and very nice on the inside. Great place to go to for special events.

There is a reason everyone goes here to get pictures taken. It has a huge pound with a waterfall like fountain. They have beautiful Myrtles with flowers. The place is covered in green hills and shape for picnics. Very nice to visit and the events are fun too. Once you go inside you'll see they went all out.

Excellent venue. Great for large school functions and weddings or large conferences. Located near hotels and restaurants.

I attended a food show from one of our suppliers, and the place was well organized lots of securityVery clean facilities, excelent customer service.

the water front is really nice, inside amenities are modern, all in all nice place to go to events,mcallen deserved something like this, if you are in the area please stop by and visit the place, you won't regret

I graduated in March and everybody fitted in. I ben there for concerts and conferences as well and it is a very formal place to that special ocassion. People usually go by and take pictures for weddings, quinceaneras, in the big patio outside.

This is one of those places that could be "over the top" with a small amount of attention.To begin, the grounds need a good policing. There is litter imbedded in the shrubs and many of the ground cover beds need work as the ground has eroded to the point where all you see is the irrigation system. I was here for an American Legion Department of Texas convention and the convention center had security personnel posted at the doors stopping people from bringing in their drinks. Large signs proclaimed that you couldn't bring in your own beverage, although no coffee was available on the premises. Water and soda could be purchased from a machine for $2.50.Lots of grumbling over this policy and I saw no need to alienate the patrons who wished to bring in their own soda, bottle of water or coffee.Again, with a little spit, polish and management attention this facility could be first class but needs some attention before reaching that status.

Spacious, new & butterfly-themed Convention Center site is among the best I've visited in decades of conference planning/attendance. Excellent catering staff & meals. Ample restrooms, working A/V, well-kept grounds, good interior traffic flow. Congratulations, McAllen, on an impressive venue!

Has rude workers like the security just awful people that work there. I went one time just to look around and a security I think his name is well his name isn't important but he is head security was giving me attitude. So close to beating him up God he is so lucky cause I would of destroy him.

I had a conference at this location. The location, building and scenery are wonderful. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We went to the Convention Center for an event called Palm Fest. We enjoyed the car show, the Native American exhibit, the attractions, the pond, and even the vendors. The restrooms were extremely clean. There was no entrance fee, but the experience was valuable.

we went to a kid friendly concert here since we were in the area, clean restrooms, nice staff, plenty of parking.
