Thanks so much for coming back out to play and learn! It was great to see your smiling faces again. Shooting is certainly a perishable skill, and one can never stop learning new things either! Just yesterday, several of our instructors and I hired private instruction in Idaho to enhance our ranging skills. Using the Vortex XLR reticule, we were able to identify target distances based on target size with pretty fair accuracy out to 1106 yards. This is a skill that is glossed over by most long range schools, and fewer than 1 of every thousand "serious" long range shooters are able to do so. Each time a learn a new skill or enhance one further, I am reminded of how many aspects of shooting really exist, and of how little any of us REALLY know! :)It is so fun to keep doing more and more of all kinds, and thanks for sharing your time with us! :)Jackson Hole Shooting Experience Secretary of Peace - Shepard Humphries

Andy is an excellent instructor: warm, patient, encouraging, and extremely knowledgable. He explained the differences between each gun, and gave helpful feedback after each shot. Very warm clothing is recommended in winter, as you will be outside most of the time (there is a little warming room with hot drinks, though, if you get too chilly). While some might not see shooting as a family experience, it turned out to be quite a bonding adventure!

You guys were awesome, I am so glad the weather allowed you to come this time! Isn't it neat how mesmerizing and relaxing shooting guns is? One would not think it, but really fun! :)I will look forward to seeing you in 2015! :) -Shepard

Thanks for coming out to shoot! Like many things in life, isn't it great that even when we get "pretty good' there is still much to learn? Each time I attend trainings, I am humbled by how much more there is to know that I didn't know I didn't know. Having students at your level is fun for me, because it is rewarding to say to myself, "He already has that down, and that, and that, and that... but ooooh... that little detail could help! :)I am glad you benefited, and I look forward to shooting with you again! Lynn at Jackson Hole Shooting Experience must wear a cape under her jacket...She is a super hero. The entire staff at the Jackson Hole Shooting Experience was able to accommodate my group of 75 participants in the pouring rain. JHSE provided a "Primitive Weapons" event for our group, long bows, compound bows, tomahawks, blow darts, steer roping, flint napping and more. The group brought nothing but a positive attitude to this challenging situation. Thank You for all your hard work!

My wife signed us up w/ 2 other couples and we had an absolute blast. Not a lot of shooting experience in our group, but Lynn and Shep taught us a ton and could not have been better. Highly recommend.

I recently took a private Women’s Rifle Hunting and a group Women’s Pistol Class. If you had asked me 6 months ago if I felt comfortable shooting a firearm or could see myself at a gun range, I would have said No Way! Yet by some strange twist of fate I found myself in a classroom with terrific women who likely felt the same way. Over the course of the day we went from timid, skeptical students to informed, empowered “high caliber” women. Lynn and Shepard and the other great instructors have a passion for providing the best and safest experience possible. And fun, too! Most recently I signed up for private rifle hunting instruction. The quality of the training and the care and attention Shepard and Lynn gave me was exceptional and rare. Their energy and enthusiasm is contagious. I am now a member and enjoy going to the range with my husband regularly. It makes for an exciting lunch date! I strongly recommend this company for a unique and exciting and memorable Jackson Hole experience.
