从cody进入黄石公园东门的路上,会穿过这个公园,路比较好开,一共50英里,周围都是山水画面,有bison零星分布,公园不需要额外门票

This state park is convenient for people in and around Cody, and a beautiful view when coming from Yellowstone Park. Picture perfect, and an amazing feat of engineering which creates the beautiful reservoir. There are many places to stop and play in the water, a few boat ramps, but not much shade. The fishing is fantastic both summer and winter (if the ice is thick enough). There are nice picnic areas and camping spots; we prefer the one furthest to the west end where the Shoshone enters the lake.My one complaint is that even a stop along the shore requires a day pass. There are many people who would like to take a break just for a few minutes to dip their toes. The ranger station is almost always open. However, if you have two vehicles and need an extra yearly tag (extra $8) don't count on them having one. It's kind of a run-around.The views are great, so enjoy them, and toot your horn when you go through those three tunnels on the way into town!

I'm sure you can see every star in the sky at night parking here. I believe the sites are dry but you are close to Cody for any supplies you would need for a stay at this park. Mountains are on one side then the lake and mountains on the other side of the lake, the view is very nice here. There is a fee to stay here but it's not much.

Very beautiful scenery. We only drove through the park on our way to Yellowstone National Park. We stopped at a few sights for picture taking. The mountains and rock formations are unforgettable.

As you meander through this area on the way to the entrance of Yellowstone you are in for a treat. Awesome wind eroded rock sculptures dot the tops of the bluffs. The reservoir is directly next to you for a good part of the way and there are many pull outs and picnic areas to enjoy a quick stop and enjoy the view.

Was a really pretty place to visit and took lots of pictures as we were passing by on our motorcycle.

If you have young kids maybe they'll get a kick out of this, provided they're not afraid of loud noises. I think the group spent more time talking about donations and sponsors than they did actually putting on the show. The actors were not engaged, technical difficulties made it hard to hear them and overall just REALLY poor acting. Seemed like they were making it up as they went.I wouldn't waste your time or $2 for the chair. There are a lot better ways to spend your time in Cody.

The view is very nice, but the north side tent sites are not advised. Our tent was almost blown into the lake, and the ground was hard as rock for pounding in your stakes. The campground is also near the road, so traffic noise throughout the night. Perhaps the other campground in the park is less windy, but we only stayed 1 night instead of 2. And the showers are EXTRA, so overall value is not high for tent camping.

We pulled in to camp on the North Shore. It was amazing. For $17 we could not beat that view! Waking up facing the lake was amazing. We drove up the road to use the shower. You do have to pay for them - make sure you have quarters! But it is worth it to have a shower! Great place! Make use of it.

Stop at the many spots around the lake. We saw deer, pelicans, geese, and elk. There is also a population of bighorn sheep. Fishing gets better later in the summer.

They advertise showers on the web site. It doesn't say anything about paying. The views are beautiful but nearly no trees for privacy or shade. Both campgrounds are located next to a busy road. Loud semis and sirens kept me awake at night.

Okay, if you want to see some beautiful scenery and have ample opportunities to shoot some cool pictures of Big Horn Rams, Moose, Bison, Deer, Elk, Prairie Dogs, Bears and other critters along with some outstanding geologic formations, this is one place you don't want to miss. Be sure and check out Buffalo Bill Dam, some interesting stories go along with it and the Visitor Center folk are real nice and informative.

My drive throughout the state park was beautiful. I could not stop taking pictures. The rams, deers, moose, and bison roamed freely. We were driving to Sleeping Giant Ski lodge and the mountains were awesome.

bad location , lots of highway noise and windy, but the only option if you want to launch a boat on the reservoir. ok for the money I guess, we did not like all the signs of regulations, upon regulations, we would not recommend it, hit the national forest and BLM lands before this or the national Park

Stayed here for 4 days in August. We spent time in Cody and we went into the Eastern side of Yellowstone during our time. The bugs were bad at the tent sites that had trees right next to them. But luckily it was a bit breezy to keep them down. It's mainly an RV place since we learned they didn't have showers. Did hear coyotes in the night and saw some good birds along the stream behind the campsites.
