A nice, but long walk, will take you from the Old Faithful Snow Lodge to Biscuit Basin.First you walk through the Upper Geyser Basin. Once you get to Morning Glory you get on a trail for about a mile. And there it is!You will need Yaktraks in the Winter.

This was an incredible stop! Perfect little loop around a collection of diverse thermal features. Being January, for the most part it was very quiet, I ended up hanging out here for about 2 hours just taking it all in, and saw 3 snow mobile tours come through and pass rather quickly. 20 min is enough time for a quick walk around, but I enjoyed the solitude and stayed for a bit watching the memorizing features. There is also a nice 2.5 mile or so hike out and back that connects to the basin and is worth the trip out to see mystic falls. Biscuit basin is Defiantly a must stop area while you are visiting the park!

Biscuit Basin is one of my favourites. The boardwalk makes for a nice easy walk, and the colours and various features are lovely, and the river adds to the beautiful environment. Definitly stop here.

After crossing the footbridge over the Firehole River, we stop and admire the often overlooked Black Opal Spring and Black Diamond Pool before arriving at beautiful Sapphire Pool. All of the sudden, Jewel Geyser starts to erupt (water can shoot up to 20 feet). When active, Shell Spring reminds me of a golden cluster of shells with the water bubbling in its center. We continue around the boardwalk to Avoca Spring described as a “grotto like cone”. Even if some of the thermal features are inactive during your visit, the colors and pools are worth the stop. It is an easy walk but under certain conditions the boardwalk can be slippery.

This was a quick stop just north of Old Faithful to see the interesting geothermal features. Watch for bear in the area.

The Geyser basin is huge, and has so many different areas to see. So after spending a long and amazing day viewing Sapphire pool and the Grand Prismatic, Biscuit basin was a letdown. We tried and really did not see anything we would say looked like Biscuits either. I would recommend pass, unless you have an abundance of extra time on your hands.

This area wasn't in our agenda for the day but since the road to west thumb was closed we had extra time. It turned out to be my favorite sites of geysers. The sapphire pool is just gorgeous!

Today we went to all of the geyser basins, and I think that biscuit was the most impressive. "Jewel" geyser went off twice while we walked the boardwalk. This is one of the more active sites for sure.

After a day and a half viewing the other geyser basins, we almost skipped Biscuit Basin, but we're so glad that we didn't. After parking in the Biscuit Basin lot and crossing the short bridge, we enjoyed walking the boardwalk around the area. The many colorful pools are a beautiful sight to see. I particularly liked the Sapphire Pool which is close to the bridge.

a wide variety of hydrothermal features to gawk at, without the mass of tourists. Take the time to hike to Mystic Falls (.6 miles one way) and the Overlook (1.7 mile loop)

The pools at Biscuit Basin are stunning. Vibrant colors, and a very easy stroll on the boardwalks to see them. However, there is also a trail head for a one mile hike to Mystic Falls. The 78' waterfall was one of our favorite highlights of our vacation.

Loved this basin and particularly loved the 1.5 hour loop hike around to Mystic Falls. Easy walk which takes in fabulous view of park and the the beautiful falls and river. Highly recommend!

Very pretty blue colors. Looks like your looking into an ocean in the Mediterranean. Good stop on the way to Old Faithful from West Yellowstone.
