For fans of Route 66 and old car buffs, a must see.An incredible collection of American cars from the early days to the 1960s. About 30-40 fully restored cars inside, and hundreds and hundreds of cars, trucks, tractors and parts scattered around the yard. No admission, donation requested (DONATE!) To get an idea of the scale of the yard, look on Google Maps or other program at 35.005642, -106.026954.The owner was friendly, and you're free to wander the grounds unbothered. I'm really surprised this place is not more know and popular. Google the name, there are numerous articles printed on Mr. Lewis and his collection.

Within the large building are vehicles that look like time stopped when they rolled off the assembly line. Outside surrounding the building are those vehicles waiting for someone to resurrect them. Archie Lewis, the owner, is passionate about his acquisitions and rightly so. History of the open road is played out on this out of the way property and it is wonderful to walk around and become a part of it if only in your mind. Route 66 is personified here. He doesn't charge but a donation is appreciated and well worth the cost.

If touring Route 66 and a car fan you can not miss this one.Hundreds of unrestored cars lined up outside and a few restored ones inside. Its donation only so great value for money. We would have died to have any of the cars in England!! Nothing is for sale as it is a private collection but its great to look and dream!
