carlsbad cruises day tours

The times did not match up to the times on their website. Would recommend call first if you are on a timed schedule. The captain of the boat drove well. Got to see some awesome houses!

We took an evening boat ride for the Christmas on the Pecos tour. My 4 year old enjoyed all of the pretty lights. It was amusing that several yards were advertisements for corporations, and a few others were paid for by other companies, but it was still worth it.Remember, it will feel colder on the water due to the windchill. We went when it was 27F outside, and light drizzle, it was quite cold on the tour. But trying to get out of Carlsbad after the tour was a much bigger issue than the temperature on the water (Carlsbad doesn't have much cold weather road equipment so most of the roads were shut down due to the freezing rain, made for a quite interesting detour through the Lincoln National Forest trying to get back to El Paso once US-60 got shut down).

Very relaxing. .and very informative..we really enjoyed it..guides were very friendly..we will be back for Christmas on the Pecos

me and my daughter were looking for something to do in town so I looking on this trip advisor and seen this we drove over there and its closed due to river drainage and cleaning. :( I really want to get in the water with her our hotels pool is even closed..

We took the evening river cruise and enjoyed a beautiful sunset. The boat captain was very informative and had a great wit. He shared history of the river, talked about several of the beautiful homes we passed, pointed out giant tortoises in one family's yard, and told us about several families who live along the river. We hope to return in December for the holiday lights cruise.

We took the 3pm river cruise. The price was reasonable for a one-hour boat ride. The breeze on the river was nice. We floated under a train trestle, and there were beautiful houses along both sides of the river. At one point the boat captain stopped and backed up to show us some huge tortoises in someone's yard. I would have liked to have heard the captain tell about the history of the river, town, ect. instead of listening to a Chili Pepper's CD. Overall, a nice experience.

The young men running the show on the day we visited were absolutely wonderful. Very service oriented and friendly. We took our tour on the unshaded pontoon boat and the two of them made sure to provide umbrellas for sun protection to everyone on the cruise. The tour is quite interesting and our captain was well informed about the waterway and the homes on the river. A very relaxing hour for the whole family.

Le bateau était sur le parking et il n'y avait quasiment pas d'eau dans la rivière... Quel dommage! Ça aurait été vraiment sympa de faire une petite ballade en bateau après la visite des cavernes...
