Nice winery to go and sample some NJ grow wines. Today was a wine and cheesecake tasting. All the wines they make were available for tasting and the cheesecakes were excellent
I've visited Cream Ridge Winery to just run in and pick up what I know I like but, recently dropped in for an actual tasting. You can get up to 10 tastings for $5 & go home with the glass for $1 more. Their wines are seasonal and most of what I tasted were delicious. I've been to other local wineries and walk away liking only one or two of the wines. Tastings at other wineries were really just a pour and taste. Cream Ridge is different. The folks behind the bar talk about each wine you taste and their descriptions are helpful and really add to the experience. Out of the 10 wines we tasted, we loved about 7 of them and came home with 4 bottles. We're looking forward to going back for the next season of wines and maybe even catching one of their events. It's very small and cozy. We didn't get into the room where the wine barrels are but that can be done on the next trip which we will definitely be making.
The Karma Chips are great! A nice place for a cozy tasting experience. Have a nice variety of wines, lots of sweet fruit wines and an interesting java wine.
Been stopping by here for a couple of years now. Always a nice ride in the country. Their fruit wines are a little bit sweet but always good with desert and this is the main reason that I stop by. They started charging for tasting since last I was here. $5 for 10 tastes. I felt it was worth it as they had about 20 wines to chose from. There is ample seating outside. They also have specialty mustards and other condiments and snacks for sale. Wine prices range from $10 to $25 a bottle or $5 by the glass.
I attended the annual wine tasting festival this month in Cream Ridge New Jersey while visiting with my son and his family. For anyone who enjoys a glass of great tasting wine should visit the Cream Ridge Winery. The staff is very knowledgeable about the wine produced on the premises. My choice was the Muscato Amabile and the Almond Berry. I also liked the Harvest Sangria. Some wines are seasonal. I like sweet wines but there is a vintage for every taste. Overall the experience was excellent and the wine great. Stop by for a visit if you are ever in the area,
You cannot compare this small family owned winery to wineries in Napa, Sonoma,Oregon or Upstate New York which I have visited many times. This is in Central New Jersey which it also means different soil, climate, weather, etc, etc. I found it interesting that they make wines from other fruits like mango, strawberries, Kiwi, etc. I did the tasting and found they have a Red which is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc that was pretty good. They also have a "wine" ( I would think of it more like a white sangria) named "Pinot Mojito" which is Pinot Grigio infused with mint and lime that on a hot summer afternoon would be great very cold or chilled! They do have three "top of the line" wines, one they call "American Champagne", which I would call Sparkling wine that are not available for tasting. Their top Red has won gold medals however is not for tasting....too bad it would be interesting to take a sip of it! Anyway, this is a small winery, with a unique variety of wines they produce and market themselves. Even the labels on the bottles are interesting and unique...quite a work of art! There was a food truck on premises and nice Jazz music playing in their porch. We brought our own basket with charcuterie and fruits which we enjoyed sitting in their small terrace while drinking their red blend. I would definitely go back on a Saturday afternoon with a couple of friends for a relaxing time in the Jersey Countryside. If your are curious, enjoy wine and are not a wine snob, take a look at it and just have a good time!
We have been to many wineries and have done many wine tastings. Cream Ridge winery is one of the worst we have been to. The wines had a very acidic taste.
Not really a fan of their wines but my mother and father loved their flavored champagne.Just okay and wine needs help
Nice place and easy to get to. They have a pretty extensive list of wine varieties. The staff was friendly and attentive and the prices were reasonable. Love the dry reds.
Cream Ridge Winery has great hours to accommodate weekday or weekend visits. We always feel welcome. The wine list offers a variety of reds, whites, and fruit wines that may really surprise your palette. They provide samples which allow you to try the wines before making any purchases. This allows you to try wines you might not ordinarily select for yourself. The tasting room is cozy but not cramped, and always clean. They frequently hold special events and we love relaxing on their grassy pasture during the outdoor social gatherings. We look forward to visiting this local NJ winery often and recommend a stop to locals and passerbys alike.
You don't have to be a wine snob to enjoy this place. In fact you should not be one if you want the whole experience. They boast a wide selection of wines for tasting which, by the way, is complimentary. This little gem has a limited selection of the usual compliments to go with your purchase but the real focus is the wine. A must try is the Almond Berry. If you get there on a hot summers day the Summer Sangria is a must. Sadly, one of the founders, Tom Amabile, passed away recently but on a recent visit we discovered that is widow, Joan, still mingles with the masses. Go out of your way if you must but keep this one on you to do list!
Cream Ridge Winery is a great place to relax and meet new friends. My mother and I came here one day in August and we are still talking about it. The hostess, Lindsey, is such a sweet girl. My mother and I could have talked with her all day. We were even lucky enough to meet the owner who is one of the nicest men, I have ever met.Cream Ridge is one of the few wineries left that do not charge for tastings and you can taste as much as you want. They have both sweet and dry wines with a great variety of fruit wines. This is a great place to try new wines. I found myself enjoying some that I normally would not care for.I have already been back since my first visit and can't wait to go again!
