Have been to home shows, craft fairs and job fairs at this center. It is relatively comfortable and convenient with adequate facilities and parking. Comfortable temperatures and lighting and adequate size for the events I attended, in fact, too much room for the events. Would hold a basic event here without hesitation
We were recently at this venue for the flower and garden show. I brought my 3 young children thinking that it would be a nice break from the cold, but it was very *NOT* child friendly. There was a child area with one nice exhibit about physical fitness (the man there was wonderful with the kids) but except for him it was a big disappointment for my family. The artist who was displaying her work and providing trials for attendees was rude to my 6-year old daughter. Keep the kids at home for this one, unfortunately. OH and the food court was terrible for vegetarians!
It's quite large, but sometimes could use more space. Such was for the recent Super Pet Expo. The staff did a great job keeping people moving as well as keeping the floors clean from sudden pet accidents. The reason for the lower rating is due to the ridiculous parking situation. I never mind walking, but would have liked to have my car in the same town as the convention center. I had to park nearly a mile away. A parking garage would be nice.
If there's something to do there that you want to see,go ahead and go.I've been there a few times and to waste a few hours is always good there.
The facilities there were wonderful, accomedating and would deffinitly inspire the use of their facility for other functions. The staff was professional and helped out keeping the place spotless, well maintained and they were almost invisible while doing it. That only comes from a well organized staff and the people who trained and work over them, great job people. I would go to many events there as it is very professional.
We came to New Jersey to see the New Jersey Gem and Mineral Show. The Center is big enough that one did not feel crowded. There was room enough for the many dealers and exhibits. There was food available. The restrooms were clean and bright. Parking was plentiful and free. We hope to go back again next year.
Came there for an expo back in October. Great location and easy to find. Restaurants aren't too far away either.
Various events are held here year-round. My favorites are the Home Show and also the Paddle Sport Show. They have a nice snack bar; prices are a bit high, but the pizza I tried was very good.
I go to the Expo several times a year for various events, and I've always enjoyed myself. The place is easy to get to and the parking is free and very large, although IMHO there are not enough handicapped spaces and most of the parking is on the side of the NJCEC.As you enter the huge office park, signs direct you to the Center, largely because it is at the back of the office park. The entrance for any particular venue is clearly marked. The Expo Center itself is huge. When the whole building is being used, it takes quite a while to pass through all the aisles. The lighting and climate controls are better than one often finds in these places. Rest rooms at the entrance and in the back are clean, large, and well-kept.If I have any quibble with the Expo Center, it is the price of the food they offer in an eating area at the back of the facility. They're the only game in town, so to speak, and they know it. If you are going to be there for most of a day, bring your own food and drink, because there are no food stores, no restaurants, and no convenience stores in the area. You will enjoy whatever you attend at the Expo Center. The staff keeps it clean and safe--no electric cords crossing the aisles, etc. The climate is ideal. If you have a disability, the parking includes several van-sized spaces, and the staff is glad to help in any way. All in all, the Expo Center is modern, convenient, and well designed. If you want to stay over, the office park offers a large chain hotel.
We love coming here, be it the Boat Show, or the Flower/Garden Show, there are so many enjoyable trips and reasons to come out.
This Convention Center is where New Jersey Shows off its best garden ideas and with this years Theme of MARDI GRAS there was a lot of fun eye candy and literally many sugary sweet candy varieties at the flower show. The Convention Center is the perfect place for this show allowing easy movement through the different exhibitors landscape creations, wide viewing of the trunk show, a seperate room for smaller exhibits and art work, a nice size staged area for presentations...and probably more that I didnt even see as I think there is a classroom, plenty of space for venders, and a food court with tables and chairs, .This year for some reason we were parked further away then ever and a shuttle was available for anyone who wanted to take it. It was a great experience to visit a little bit of Bourbon Street and Spring right here in NJ.
Took my oldest son to a train expo they were having there, plus they had a job expo I attended to hand out resumes and network with people. Like I said, those train engines, sure do cost a lost of money, plus the walkie talkies,etc.,etc.
This center is huge and houses many events. We love to visit because there is ample parking and lots of room to move around the displays.
Attended a bead expo. Would attend the event again. Wasted a lot of gas trying to find the place. lucky I knew better than to go over the Staten island bridge exit which costs twelve dollars. I was forced to learn how to use my phone GPS the only way I got there after two hours driving round and around. The facility is well worn. There is handicapped parking otherwise if you don't find limited space you will have a good walk.bathroom small and no attendant. This is basicly an industrial area I was egar to get out before it was dark. I don't think I could find it on a return trip without a gps. Your event has to provide food. it is not located near any shopping hotels anything to do other than attend your event. There is plenty of space but not a facility in an of itself an address to impress. It is handicap accessable. There was no stroller parking for this event. And the event was not kid friendly. There was an area with sofa's where family did wait.
This was the third time we attended the convention. If you arrive early, there is plenty of parking near the front of the lot. later on you will have to walk.
