hopatcong state park

First - i do not visit a park during summer and there is review only about other time. Park have a good parking and lots of bbq stands Lake and river is very acceptable to, fishing is easy , you need to pay for boat ramp. At winter - is worm !!! restroom ! so fisherman's can use it. Rangers and others workers friendly, knowledgeable. Still some damage after hurricanes.

The lake was very nice. It was past season but there's a nice sandy beach and swimming area. It's a very nice place to spend the day

Lake Hopatcong is not known for having super clean water, but it is nice to take your boat out or sit by the edge and relax in the sun. I visited in the spring before the crazy summer crowds get there so it was very peaceful and I had a nce walk along the shoreline. The surrounding area is scenic with lots of trees. Not much to write home about.

the water is greenish but clear and. can see clearly down to feet no growth or garbage on waters floor or floating. lifeguard staff very attentive to swimmers and children in water. no floatation devices allowed. I love clear blue ocean water and pay to get it when I can but this is what is available to me now and I am grateful it is so well kept

very nice but have to go during the week weekends hane to get on line about 530am to wait to get in clean alot of family picnics property well kept

the water was so dingy that we would never have gone in it. Too bad the rivers and lakes in New Jersey are not clean and pristine!
