This is a great local place to take kidsfor a fun day out. They have a lot of different rides, none terribly scary, and they are reasonably priced. They also have a mini golf course and a gameroom.
Used to go as a kid, and now take my kids 1 or 2 times a season. Best time to go is at the beginning of the season, and getting one of the wrist bands. Kids can go on the rides over and over with little to no wait. Many of the rides are old, but there are rides for all ages. Game room where you win tickets...the prizes are a joke, and you are better off saving your money. The food here is not bad for a small local amusement park.
Years ago they had miniature golf, and although it needed a face lift, it was a nice feature. Most of the rides are for younger kids, teens these days may get a bit bored if they have experienced a large amusement park. On the pricey side but search for coupons, they are always advertising.
The Bowcraft that I used to know is gone. This one is seedy looking, rundown and overall not very clean.
We took our 8 and 10 year old grandchildren for the afternoon. As always the park is clean, safe and filled with families with children. The workers are pleasant and if you buy the wrist band which allows you to ride and ride and ride..it is a deal. We usually spend about 3 hours riding and the kids get their fill. We were pleased that the big Roller Coaster was working and we rode that several times. No waiting times on most of the rides. Bathrooms are clean, there are food offerings although we just had soft ice cream. It's close and an old time favorite, we used to bring our children here as my parents brought me!
I remembered going here with my father, so I took my Godson for the kind of fun I had growing up. Most of the rides here are for the younger kids, so teens would probably be bored. The park is kept up pretty well, and is clean. I'd recommend it for younger kids.
Took my kids and now my granddaughter to Bowcraft. It is more for the younger kids (3-11) but they love it! You can spend a nice couple of hours there and not go broke. Highly recommended.
If you live in New jersey and need a simple amusement park for your kids, this one is for you. Nothing hi-fi like Six flags.. basic stuff, well maintained in most part, location good. You dont have to drive to Jersey Shore to have fun on rides.
I was concerned because my 13 year old nephew went alone on the roller coaster. It started up and then stalled just out of the starting point. The attendant did not seem to know what to do. I asked him to back it up and let my nephew off. He ignored me and others and he started it again and the riders took off. Luckily, nothing happened. He was young and working for the summer and untrained. He had no professional superior to consult.Kids love the park, but the park appears negligent about safety. My visit was actually a few years ago with young children and teenagers, but the incident frightened me, so I did not forget.
We frequent this small park, generally it's clean and in order. Appears to be gypsy family run, pricy and antiquated but will do for a short visit. The safety needs to be a better concern, many staff young and distracted.
Until recently, I had never heard of Bowcraft Amusement Park until I saw an advertisement for their annual Easter Egg Hunt, so I brought my daughter to check it out. It's a good thing that we arrived early, for the crowd started building up but we managed to get in front. As soon as they let everyone in, there was a mad rush to the eggs, which were scattered all over the ground. Everything was scooped up immediately so if you were one minute late you got nothing. The adults were worse then the children (despite requests not to run and let the kids take part). One woman had a plastic bag and was scooping up the eggs like a vacuum cleaner. The eggs contained small toys and some free ride coupons. My daughter still managed to make out well and had a good time. There were about 20 rides in all, some of which looked old, but were good for kids of various ages. They did not have the wristband available that day so, at $4 per ride, it quickly became expensive. I would recommend going only when they have the wristband so you can pay one price and ride as many times you want. Otherwise it will be double the price. There is a food area, but nothing healthy is available, just the usual fried options lacking any nutritional value and high in fat and sodium. There are several nearby restaurants however. Parking and admission is free which is a plus.
This amusement park is the perfect size for the younger kids, especially if you can go when it's not busy and take advantage of purchasing a wrist band. I took my 5 year old last year and she had a blast!
bowcraft was a nice family attraction. nice rides geared to a variety of ages. even the adults had fun.
This is a terrific little amusement park for children. There are very few rides they cannot use, which is a joy for them. It does have a bit of a carnival in the day feel, but overall, the kids LOVE it. That's the most important thing. It is also not going to break the bank. We LOVE that.
small but sweet! everything a young child could want near homeget all day band (when the season permits) vs buying per ridegood for birthday parties too
