outstanding asphalt track racing, 3 days, many different divisions, festival type atmosphere. we go every year over thanksgiving weekend.
Wall Stadium is a staple of the New Jersey Shore. Racing started in April 1950 on this 1/3 mile oval track. Racing occurs every Saturday night from April through September, however, there are additional special events which occur past September including the infamous Turkey Derby in November. The grandstands usually open at 5pm, qualifying starts around 6pm and features begin at 7pm.There are many types of cars which race here including Modifieds, Sportsman, Factory Stock, 4-Cylinder, Limited Late Model, Legends, Powder Puff, and TQ Midgets. Check their schedule online to see what divisions will be racing on the night you plan on attending. This is a great way to spend a summer evening at the Jersey Shore. The racing is exciting – lots of close racing and mishaps! Given that is only a 1/3 mile track, you can see the action on the entire track.Tips – Bring the following:1. MOST IMPORTANTLY: Bring ear protection!!! Either have ear plugs or earmuffs. The races are extremely loud. Without ear protection, you may cause permanent damage to your hearing.2. Something soft to sit on – a cushion, or blanket. The bench seats are hard.3. Sunglasses & hat – needed until the sun goes down.4. Sweater or jacket. It cools off when the sun goes down.5. Small Cooler (no glass). You are permitted to bring in food & beverages (including alcohol), however, there are concession stands the serve burgers, cheesesteaks, funnel cakes and ice cream and more.6. Binoculars. After an accident, you may want to zoom in on the site.7. Cost: Varies depending on event. Adults are usually no more than $18. Discounts for seniors and children. Parking is free. This is a great way to spend a summer evening at the Jersey Shore with your family (all ages). The racing is exciting – lots of close racing and mishaps! Since it is only a 1/3 mile track, you can see the action on the entire track. I have been going to Wall Stadium for many years and am never disappointed.
