brookside pizza ll & the tap sports bar

My daughter and I had just finished The Color Run 5K at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway, right down the road on Rte 106, when we decided to reward ourselves with a libation. We chose the Tap Sports Bar (or The Tap, as we call it). I have been there only once before, and wasn't really thinking "lunch", but as it turned out, we were hungry.Judging by the crowd that showed up there, before us and after us, we weren't the only ones to make this decision. To top it off, it was Columbus Day; a busy enough day without the additional color-plastered patrons that showed up.Once my daughter and I decided we'd do lunch, as well, we settled on soup and sandwich. Normally, when you order soup and sandwich at a restaurant, you get a cup of soup with half a sandwich. For $8.95, we got a huge bowl of clam chowder (full of medium to large clam pieces), and a large full sandwich. (We couldn't finish it all!)Kevin was our bartender, and not only did he take everything in stride, but he remembered a special request I had made when we first sat down, without having to be reminded. That deserves a kudos, for sure.We will be back for sure, and thanks to all of the little elves who helped make our special day, even more special ;-)

I have eaten in more than one of these places and the food is always really good. If you are having their pizza or there sandwiches they are incredible and their meals are exceptional like Mama makes at home. Stop by on your way home and pick up something to take home. You will not be disappointed.
