al and alma's charter cruises

I use the cruise for an annual client event every July, and they never fail to disappoint. Food, physical facilities, staff, and knowledge of the Lake are all exceptional.

We love Al and Alma's! The staff makes going there an absolute joy. They remember you and make you feel at home. Sitting by the fireplace and overlooking the lake is a great place to end the week!

We went on a cruise through my wife's work and had a great time.It was about a 3 hour cruise with dinner and drinks included. The crew was very attentive and interactive. With the captain stopping the boat to show us points of interest and history of the lake.The food was very good, I loved the chicken and wildrice. The deserts were just a little to sweet for me but good.Overall it was a great time.I would highly recomend.

We were on the barbecue picnic lunch last Saturday on the boat Bella Vista. The food, scenery and crew were outstanding. The captain gave interesting and fun commentary on many of the homes surrounding Lake Minnetonka. We had wonderful servers (Lexi, Adriana) who went above and beyond getting us drinks and providing a fun atmosphere. The ribs were amazing and the lemon bars were too! Will visit again.

We were invited to a wedding on Al & Alma's Cruise Boats. This was a beautiful time. The Crew was wonderful, Josie was are server, she made our cruise. Her knowledge of the lake and the sweet smile will always be remember of this special day. PS The food was great!

Phil,Thank you for cruising with us! Anniversary events are special and tend to be some of our staff’s favorite events to be a part of; thank you for entrusting us with your special celebration. Thank you as well for your nice comments about our reservation staff, onboard crew and the quality of our boats. All of our boat and our restaurant bar staff dispense a 1.5 ounce pours for mixed cocktails. We do use a 12oz glass rather than a 8-10oz industry standard low ball size as this glass size has proven to withstand the sunshine and outdoor heat better as it holds more ice. Our crystal wine glasses on the boats have a 9oz capacity and are a common industry standard to which our staff pours 2/3 full which provides a 7oz serving size. We have no policy or training that teach our staff to pour any less than what was just explained. In accordance with our local health department, we have special permits for each of our boats that allow us to serve prepared foods from our licensed kitchen. The permits that govern our boats are stricter than our restaurant and one of the restrictions that governs food served on the boats has an expiration time imposed to all food that leaves our kitchen. This rule prevents us from allowing food to be served in any capacity after this time expires. It also may be helpful for you to know that we provide portions above and beyond what you actually order (as you mentioned in your review re: “substantial food left over” to ensure that all of you and your guests enjoy a hefty serving of food while onboard.
