This was a very good winery with a friendly server. The wines were unique and smooth tasting. The server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the facility and the wine. They have a medium size room inside to enjoy a bottle there when the weather is not so nice outside. We WILL be back!
We had a blast at this little place! The four of us arrived very later, nearly at closing time. Erica was so nice and very helpful. She allowed us to do some wine tasting, making sure that she explained what the wine was and what it was made from. We had lotza laughs and bought some wine, as well as a few other things. We were so happy that we stopped by that afternoon since our time frame would not have allowed it to do the next day. I would recommend this winery if you have the time. We didn't have a lot of time to check out the entire place, so maybe when you visit, you can add more details.
Very friendly staff. Good prices for good wine. We stop every visit to eastern Iowa. Usually bring back several bottles. Cranberry wine is soooooo good.
We spent a beautiful sunny day here. The winery is situated on top of a hill with nice views of the surrounding vineyard. The building is bright and welcoming, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Visitors are welcome to bring their own picnics and water, but you may not bring in any alcoholic beverages, of course. There are lots of picnic tables available and on this day there were lots of canopy tents set up, though we preferred the sunshine. There are also small tables for your use. We did a wine tasting and chose a bottle to go with the cheese and salami picnic we brought. They will also provide you will a bucket and ice if needed and small plastic cups as well. There is a large concrete patio and an outdoor bar area serving Wine-a-ritas and canned beer. They had a pizza oven going outside too. There was live music, one of the main reasons we drove out for the day. So much fun dancing and relaxing! We also had the wine-a-ritas in the refillable insulated cups for $8 (refills $5). There were a range of ages including some well behaved young children, who had plenty of space to run and play. Bathroom facilities are inside and very clean.
We stopped here on a cool, rainy Sunday afternoon. The young lady who was the hostess was great. We sampled a few, and bought 2 bottles to take home. Nice place!
We did a wine tasting and even bought a bottle to take home! This place is a can't miss!
