Although the elk were an amazing experience and fed on hay within 5 inches of us, the group had to endure listening to the owner pontificate on his opinions on wolves in the wild. "Hap" had a captured (not captive) audience who could not escape him as he never stopped talking during the entire trip. Some of his facts were interesting, however, much of it was wanting to go on and on re: stopping the wolves from killing the elk-an image I had not wanted to think about at the time. Even when asked twice to please return back to the subject of the elks, he challenged the request with, "Every time you try to get me off this subject, I'm coming right back to it." His manner was aggressive and sarcastic at times.Additionally, the event would have been far more special had "Hap" just given us some moments of silence with these beautiful animals. Too bad he used this as a platform for his own agenda

初めての体験をしました。馬数頭が引くソリに乗って１５分程度、野生のエルクの群れに。２０分ほどすると少しずつエルクソリに近づいてくるのです。ソリの椅子はエルクの餌の草でできているため、それを食べに。エルクが近づいて餌を食べ始めるまでは動かないでと言われ、寒い中我慢した甲斐がありました。感動でした。動かずにじっとしてるのは防寒着は必修です。それと予約は忘れずに。
