Was simply travelling through Idaho, needing a place to park the travel trailer, and found this quaint, rustic winery with a neighboring RV campground. 1) We like wine, and 2) we needed a place to anchor the RV.This small winery was fantastic and we enjoyed tasting every wine they craft. So much so, we bought 4 bottles worth and enjoy them to this day.If needing a nice winery on a golf course or a RV campground, this is a must see location. If you like wine, then you should stay no less than two nights.

We stopped at Glenn's Ferry in Idaho and was shocked. What a great little town to tour in. We stayed at the RV park across form the Carmela EWinery and no one was there! No one. I played 9 holes at the cours (rented clubs and a cart), had dessert and coffee at the winery, did wine tasting, and walked to the Oregon Trails INter\prtive center. We had lunch at the Oregoin Trail cafe (outstanding!!!!!), and then rode our bikes around town. An amazing part of our brief stay was viewing the Oregon Trail 'ruts' next to highway 84. Take the road by the schools, under the freeway, and turn left on Old Oregon Trail road. Go about a mile and on the right you will see an Oregon Trail marker and the ruts going up, over the hill. Remarkable!!! We loved the place and will make this our first stop in the area and for longer.

This was our first winery on our list for our trip through the Idaho wine area. It was gorgeous outside! The grounds were very well kept. Once inside it took a moment or two for them to warm up to us but once they discovered we were going to buy a few bottles their demeanor change drastically. The lady even gave us some recommendations on other places and activities to check out on our trip.

what a lovely place! the grounds are well maintained and gorgeous! there is golf, RV parking, wine shop, wine tastings, full bar, restaurant that serves breakfast, brunch, lunch, & dinner (check about times and dates of such services.) the wine is delicious and the food divine! great bread served too! not sure i've ever seen a sparkling riesling...they have their version of a french bordeaux (called something else - reserve red 'something')....anyway overall an awesome place and can't wait to return! thanks for everything!below i checked "no" for "fee for attraction"? you can park and then walk around the gorgeous grounds and that's free! but otherwise you'll pay for a wine tasting, purchase(s) in store, food, etc. but it's all price ranges so all budgets can get something even if one bottle of their wine of the month to start!!

My wife and my daughter and I had two of the most wonderful meals at the restaurant, dinner one night, and lunch the next day. We found the staff of the store to be helpful and cheerful. The wine was great, so glad I bought two bottles on the way out. The views were pretty spectacular.

I have been to the Three Island Campgroung several times and have enjoyed it every time. Every time I bring along family and friends and being so close to your winery I have enjoyed a meal and also purchased some good wine. That said, on Saturday the 28th. September 2013 I brought some family and some friends to purchase some wine. We left without the wine plus one of the worst customer service experiences or there lack of I have ever had. Sad to say I will never visit your place again nor will the other couples that were with me that day. Along with that neither will anyone else that askes me or my friends if Carmela's Vineyards is a place to visit.

We were enchanted by the idea of staying at an RV park adjacent to a vineyard, but the reality of the situation left much to be desired. Only one 50 amp site, no bathrooms or showers, no wifi or any other amenities. When we asked, were we told, "there's a porta potty"....yep, nasty. Do yourself a favor and keep driving a quarter mile and stay at the state park (three islands). Same price, great views, and bathrooms/showers. The person who checked us in at the winery was not especially friendly and when we asked about showers, recommended we go to the state park, pay the 5 dollar entrance fee, and use their facilities. This place seems like an afterthought. Never again.

Our car club drove from Boise to have lunch at the Carmela Vineyards Restaurant. We reserved the banquet room and went with a reduced (5 item) menu. There were 28 of us and it turned out great! The room was all set when we arrived and our waitress did a fantastic job of taking care of us. Our food was tasty and came out in a timely fashion. Big groups are hard to accommodate, I know, and they did an excellent job. We will definitely go there again!

We trekked off the highway for a break and saw signs to this attraction so stopped in. They also had an rv park and a golf course so we stayed the night. We had one of the best meals on our 6 month road trip here. Service was excellent, beautiful view overlooking the golf course and river valley. They are a 25 year old winery that makes incredible wine very reasonably priced. We will definietley go back again for dinner and stay in their rv park,

If you happen to be in Glenns Ferry, THIS IS THE PLACE to eat. Uncommonly upscale for this part of Idaho. Great prime rib, fun to try local wines. Fantastic view.

Horrible experience at Carmela Vineyards, we have been going to this vineyard for weekend getaways and numerous events for the past 9 years. We recently made another visit and we will NEVER be back. We had several people come from out of town to golf, as we had told them how nice it was and a great course for everyone. It is a 9 hole course which is what we have always golfed in the past, once we got there we were told we had to pay for 18 since it was a weekend. The cost ended up being $36.00 per person, one of the carts we had would barely run and there were none to replace it. The golf course was in horrible condition, the greens were pretty much dirt with some mostly dead grass. We also had a gift certificate for Carmela, we ended up having money left after golfing so decided to have dinner at the restaurant. We gave the gift certificate to the waitress and then were told by the manager we could not use the gift certificate for any food purchases. This was not stated on the gift certificate, there were some exclusions which we were well aware of and this was not one of them. After a long discussion with the manager, she still would not do anything for us and said we had to pay for our entire dinner. The dinner was overpriced for what we received, steaks were not good quality and not cooked as ordered. After our visit I tried contacting the owner who I was told was local man and never received any correspondence. There are many other local wineries and golf courses with services that far exceed those of Carmela and they have lost all of our group as customers.

Sorry you were disappoined Lisawayne. I am not sure what you expected from a "cabin" but from what cabins I have seen, it's fairly plush. I have seen the cabins but not stayed in them.We have stayed in the RV park several times and Stan has always gone out of his way to accomodate everyone. Granted, I bring my own bed, bath, etc. but the folks there will bend over backward to accomodate you. The restaurant and winery are excellent. The golf course is beautiful and the RV park is small and very hospitable. For us, Carmela is not a stopover, it's a destination.
