I'm not an adventurous person, but didn't want to disappoint my husband who wanted to do this. I'm so glad I did it because you feel so very safe in the harness that the ride was smooth and scenic, rather than scary. We recommend it to everyone.

A must-do activity if you are at Tamarack Resort!Starting with a chairlift ride up the mountain you are surrounded by the beauty of the forest and the amazing views of Lake Cascade. Upon reaching the top, you begin a leisurely hike down the mountain to the first zipline. A pair of professional guides are with the group to explain and help you along the way. One zipline ends in a large tree with a platform about 100 feet off the ground! What a thrill it is to jump off this same platform to begin the next zipline. There are also a couple of rope suspension bridges reminiscent of Indiana Jones. Quite a thrill! I highly recommend this activity so much so that whenever we have guests I take them on this. In fact, we already have our reservations for this summer!

This was my first time on a zipline. This was a great adventure; lots of fun and beautiful views of the forest, mountains and Lake Cascade! The guides, Jeff and Julie, were fun, funny, but professional and it is obvious that safety comes first. The remainder of the staff were likewise helpful and fun. If you are in the area this is definitely a must! Thanks to Tamarack Zipline for a great time!

this zipline tour has been listed in the top ten in the US and it is apparent why! the guides are very professional, safety conscious, and a ton of fun! the views and the variety of terrain covered is a real treat! going out to the tree house, and going off the rock is so much fun and great for thrill seekers! a must :)

We've zipped at various other places (Gatlinburg, Vermont, MegaCavern, Hot Springs) so we had some other experiences to compare. Ziplining is always great fun and this area certainly has some nice scenery! This is the most expensive zipline we have completed and seemed to have shorter lines than the others. There was some complexity with steering and monitoring guide commands for braking such that it seemed like we only zipped a moment and were mostly engaged with trying to steer, "grab the line", and listen for commands rather than enjoying the thrill of ziplining... We noticed that they did not explain the line brakes that make loud noises and jolts when your trolley hits them - this startled some of the other guests when they engaged them on the first line. The customer does not do any handbraking or line return on these lines (thus the focus on arriving at the right speed for completion of the line and not stopping short or coming in too fast). If you stop short, the staff will come retrieve you (did not happen on our tour but wind conditions, weight, etc all can affect your momentum). You do not have to be experienced - the staff will instruct you on their commands and you just enjoy the zip. This is the first tour where we placed/tightened our own harnesses and they were not closely checked by the staff. This tour also involves hiking from line to line (rather than connected canopy platforms where all you do is zip from tree to tree). There is one bridge but it is more of a dismount than an attraction of the tour (you may be glad to hear that if you have ever had to do the repel dismount to get down from a high zip platform!) You'll want to plan ahead and apply sunscreen and bug repellant before starting the tour. Bring something to put your hair up if you have long hair. They do have restrooms at the office where you check in - go before you start on the tour! I highly recommend the attraction if you are up for a thrill but we probably would not do this one again (was not our favorite zipline tour).

You have to visit the zipline if you are anywhere close. We enjoyed the great views, great staff, and had an excellent time. Even my daughter who doesn't like heights was comfortable as we zipped over the forest.
