Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We are happy to learn that you husband and his friends enjoy the course. We can't wait to see you and your husband back next season.
My wife and I recently played Circling Raven in September as part of a week long group golf outing. The course was in excellent shape, the greens were true and fast. The amenities were excellent, there is an expansive practice facility, club house was well stock with top notched clothing options and other golf accessories. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Additionally, the clubhouse bar and cafe were also very well stocked and the restaurant/bar staff were extremely friendly and attentive. It was obvious that the staff in the clubhouse and restaurant/bar were there to serve the players.
I have played different courses that are in the top 100, and have not been disappointed until now! The greens were horrendous! You might as well been putting on concrete. The starter told us they were the fastest he had seen them in 9 years!! I would not play there again while here, even if half price. The fairways are in great condition, and some nice scenery. I was hitting well, until I got to the greens. We had a group here, and everyone complained about the greens! I would recommend other courses in the area. The restaurant was great!
Such a pretty course. On some holes I felt like I was in Kansas and others in Seattle. Such a great range of scenery. The course was VERY difficult, glad I was playing in a scramble.
The first day we played I vowed never to return. I never lose balls but lost 2. Greens lightning fast. Temp 100. Second day settled down and got an eagle on #10 so like it better! Still very difficult so be prepared
This superbly maintained course was long, challenging, and drop dead lovely scenery, but bring your A game .
This is the best golf course/hotel combination ANYWHERE! Both facilities are WORLD CLASS and convenient. Hotel is two par-4's from the first tee! Golf course top-rated in State of Idaho. Practice area is huge, with a variety of areas to practice.
Great friendly staff, nice course with some challenging holes. After 1 hole, our cart died. With assistance from the refreshment cart lady, we were able to call the cart barn and get a new one. Nothing happened in the next ten minutes. Then the group playing behind us passed us. Finally we call the pro shop and ask for an explanation. Wow. They couldn't find the people who needed a cart so they gave up. Great work team! (NOT)Everything else went smoothly except that the group that played through was slow and bad.Note to golfers, always remember to check the battery or gas on your cart. It shouldn't run out until you're driving down 18.
Wonderful course, challenging, scenic, fun fun fun. The course is in wonderful shape, great fairways and great greens no winter kill here. The club house, driving range, cafe all absolutely wonderful. The staff EXCELLENT very helpful, and friendly. The little cafe had the most wonderful breakfast with home made jam that was to die for, and very reasonably priced, once again free coffee WOW. Well worth the drive to play this course and stay in the Resort attached to the facility.
Excellent layout. Multiple tees to suit different level of players. Beautiful scenery. Friendly staff. Very nice driving range. We ate a light lunch at the turn that was very good.
The area is stunning, the course beautiful, the staff spectacular! Somewhat remote, but that makes for the wonderful sounds of nature. A very unique golf experience.
If a serene, natural setting is something you value in a golf course, make the effort to play Circling Raven. Wow. This golf complex has everything - great practise/warm-up area, friendly service, very good value for your dollar. The course is majestic - spread over 600 acres - quiet, peaceful, challenging, fun. You end your day here knowing you've experienced something truly special. 4 of us from BC played June 6 and 7, 2014 and the course was in excellent shape. Toney, the Starter, is a wonderful host/ambassador, and reflects the overall high quality of this golf course. It may not be the easiest to get to, but you definitely will not regret making the effort to give it a try. 5 stars!!
What a beautiful part of the world. Rolling hills all around you and nice casino for that after golf entertainment and rooms. The course was in very good shape. The greens werent horribly fast but it is early in the year. Very fair course. But then they all seem beautiful and fair when you have a good round. The golf carts were top knotch. The clubhouse also has lots to offer at reasonable prices. And the lounge/restaurant had a real tastey gyro. Yum yum
It's a heart stealer...620 acres with holes spread among wetlands, woodlands and Palouse grasses. Firm, fast greens in the solitude of a natural setting. No houses, condos or manufactured scenery on this course. Mother Nature took care of everything. There is so much risk/reward, offering fair challenges that the player can see from the tee box. CRGC is underpriced for a resort course of this quality. It has varying degrees of difficulty from the tees, allowing for anyone to enjoy it. The only problem I've found is that you may not want the round to end. Sadly it must, but you will come back.
Played 2 rounds of golf and stayed overnight at casino. What a tough golf course but certainly enjoyed the challenge. Had a fabulous dinner at restaurant in casino. For being out in the middle rolling wheat field, what a classy place. Weather was fantastic but never did see the moose they claimed was hanging around.
