otter creek state park

We have been to Otter Creek Campground in Antimony Ut several times and always enjoyed it. This time however, we were disappointed at home unkept the campground was. The sites were not tidied up from the previous campers, Bird poop everywhere. The showers were not clean and the showerheads were covered with calcium. Resevior is nice, but next time I will stay in a different campground.

My husband and I worked at Otter Creek in 2009 and returned to visit the Park Ranger this month (May). This is a very busy place during the summer. The facilities are upgraded so working here is a pleasant experience. Future plans will include full hookups for RV's and cabin rentals. Visitors come from near and far to experience fishing. If you want to escape the craziness of cities or your job, this is the place to land. There is no cell service. The Merc in Antimony will keep you fed if you choose to dine out. Park Ranger Lance will ensure that you have a pleasant experience.

Way off the beaten tracks. I was tent camping in May 2013 and ran across this place by accident. There were 3 rv's here when I pulled in. That was it. So I pitched my tent into one of the improved slots right by the shore and stayed here a couple of days. Nice big lake surrounded by mountains. Can't beat this kind of setting. Would expect it to get crowded on weekends during summer. Place has decent shower house.Supplies. Local store on lake was closed both days I was there. Went to tiny town of Junction about 15 miles away. Went to the little store on the west side of Hwy 89 to grab some grub. Very limited selection, but on this visit they had some of the best thick sliced locally produced bacon that I have had the honor of frying up.

Good place to ride atv's and great fishing, we caught our limit. Not much shade though, mostly sage brush.
