The staff, Ian & Matt, we exceptional. Very informative and professional. My husband and I had the best day of snowmobiling. It was perfect. We will be back! Next time we are going to spend the night in one of their amazing cabins. Thank you for a fun filled day.
We rented 2 ATVs for a day long ride. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the ATVs were great machines. We had a really great time!
We rented four ATV's from Bear River during spring break. Our two older boys were old enough to drive their own, our younger son rode on the back of one of the ATVs and was very comfortable. We had a blast. We called in the morning, left a message and the owner called us right back. He was very helpful on the phone and gave great directions from Park City where we were staying. He was flexible with the length of time we could have the quads for (it helped that it was a slow time in his season, but other companies we called weren't nearly as flexible). When we got to the shop the ATVs were all gassed up ready to go. They were clean and very well maintained and started up right away. We got helmets that were clean and didn't have any signs of wear. We rode in a well marked area and were able to navigte with the use of a map specific to the trails we were on. All in all, a really great experience and will go back during the winter to rent snowmobiles.
Spent a magnificent day, sledding in some fantastic powder!!!We were a group of 7 city slickers spending some time skiing by park city, and were advised to check out the bear river lodge for the ultimate snow mobile experience, AND MAN DID IT EXCEED OUR EXPECTATIONS. To start, the lodge was easily accessible from park city, just a quick right turn of i-80. Upon our arrival, the staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to ensure everyone was settled up and geared for an extreme day in the great outdoors. The Sleds were in fantastic condition, and really stood up to the test. It's important to be using the right equipment went heading out on such a long journey for safety and for excitement purposes. We packed some PB & J Sammy's and had a nice picnic in the powder (HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU BRING SOME SNACKS FOR A LONG AND EXCITING JOURNEY)After a long day in the snow, it was time to head back to the lodge. The staff awaited our arrival and continued the great service we experienced earlier in the day. Those looking for the ultimate snow mobile experience in the surrounding areas are advised to give the great people at the bear river lodge their business. THIS IS A NO NONSENSE ESTABLISHMENT, WHO PROVIDE THE ULTIMATE EXPERIENCE WITH STATE OF THE ART SLEDS TO BE USED ON SOME OF THE GREATEST SLEDDING TRAILS IN NORTH AMERICA. I GIVE THESE GUYS 2 THUMBS UP!!!
We have rented ATVs as well as snowmobiles here. We never had a moments trouble with anything, got great rates, and had sooo much fun! Our first time out, Roger himself guided us on his own ATV to ensure we got where we wanted to go. (we were terrible navigators! LOL) Now we know the trails (as well as all the fun vehicles!) and always have a blast.
The Bear River Lodge is located on the North Slope of the Uintah mountains on the mirror lake highway. The snowmobiles and ATV's for rent are in top notch condition, and it is wonderful to exit a cabin, climb on your sled or ATV and ride. The pressure of "getting your money's worth" doesn't exist because when you are tired, you go back and relax in the cabin, pool, or hot tubs, and then go ride again when you feel the urge. The cabins have full kitchens which let me bring and eat the foods I wanted. It was truly a relaxing vacation with my family.
I've snowmobiled several times from the north side of the Unitas and have stayed at the bear river lodge three times (5 total nights). If you haven't seen the lodge(s) in the past few years, everything is bigger/better and nicer.I'm tentative in writing a review because what makes this area some much fun to snowmobile in is that it's not very crowded and i like it that way. I'd take the terrain over west yellowstone any day, plus you don't have the wooped out trails to get to the fun terrain very long.In short, beautiful area, great terrain, very nice place.
My friends and I rented snowmobiles from the Bear River Lodge and used the services of a local guide who happened to have worked for various other snowmobile outfitters. All of us, including our guide, were appalled at the complete and total lack of professionalism and friendliness exhibited by this outfitter. It appears that the employess view renters as an inconvenience. Their rates are higher than most and they really stick it to you once you return for the day and the sleds are inspected. My advice: rent from anyone but these folks - if you do rent from them, dont be one second late on your rental return, ride the sleds as delicately as you would an antique automobile, don't expect to be treated as an appreciated customer, and be prepared for all of the extra expenses that are sure to come your way upon the return of your rental. Almost any other outfitter in the area would be a better choice.
