An interesting stop. The people were very friendly and knowledgeable about history, especially the cave and the people involved with it. I was mostly interested is seeing the glow in the dark rock collection they had and some very old guns from our pilgrim years in America. Didn't stay too long, but it was nice, for a family getting in for $25 ($5/person) was a bit much but otherwise, it was nice, also very cool and a good placed to get away from the heat.

It's a tourist trap with a neat twist -- the little tour is actually fascinating, especially if you ask questions about the photos on the wall and how Moqui Cave began. Their gift shop is actually hi-quality, worth stopping at.

It was just OK, They charge you $5 each to get in, this includes the Gift shop.. That was strange. anyways it was OK, I guess. They had an old bar area full of mostly junk and a bunch of old "Steelers" fan crap...I guess the old guy that originally bought it was the first guy from BYU to be drafted into the NFL. And he played for Pitts. "whatever"......The other large area of the cave was full of cases with a bunch of junk in them. and it was kept kinda dark so it seemed very strange. The gift shop of course sold all the normal junk that they sell at ever other gift shop at every other attraction you my stop at. Like I said it was OK i guess for $5 each, but not really....

What could be a great destination is little more than "touristy" than I like. There are some great artifacts and attractions but overall not what I had hoped for. People were great ambassadors for the surrounding area.

This is the oddest little place, $5 to enter. It was purchased back in the day to protect it from vandalism and kept in the family. The front is a gift store, you go back & to the right in the "bar" decorated with art by the original owner and Indian relics (and some Steelers paraphernalia). An odd mix of quirky and tacky. And to the left further in the cave is the fluorescent rock portion, teeming with rocks that glow under black light. One area the light had burned out, and there's a display of a bunch of political odds and ends collected through the years (?). Depending on one's leaning/frame of mind could be funny or offensive.I liked that they "rescued" the cave and used it for local gatherings...

Had to wait 10 minutes for someone to finally notice us waiting at the front. The ONLY interesting thing in the place was the old bar area, everything else was just basically junk. It's too bad that this space became so commercial and crappy, I think it could be something very cool with the right owners.

But this looked interesting when we drove by the day before. So I added it to our "to do" list while in Kanab. I am glad we did. The Son of the owner was at the front of the cave and he explained alot of the history to us, personally. Then we were allowed to walk around in a "lounge/bar" area and view a lot of artifacts as well as dinosaur fossils. Then we went into the section with all of the glowing minerals, the only disappointing thing about that room was I wasn't able to catch the beauty with my camera. It was great and I didn't feel claustrophobic at all.

After reading great reviews and picking up literature about Moqui Cave, we were disappointed to find this attraction closed. This was on Oct 4. There was no mention of closing dates in any of the literature. We also talked to another couple who had driven to Kanab from Zion to visit Moqui and were disappointed.

Kind of neat cave. Especially the part that was a bar in "the old days". Not happy with places like this that sells junky souvenirs.

The cave has lots of local history, the rock displays aren't anything too exciting, but the old bar and collection of collectables from the original family and owners was worth the visit. The lady(daughter in law) who was working the store was very friendly and helpful steering us to other local attractions... like the pet cemetery and original location where Gunsmoke was filmed.

We stopped by on a trip through the West, and absolutely loved this place. The man who owned it was full of wonderful stories to go along with all of the artifacts. I definitely recommend it to anyone passing through!

For what you pay (and simply for the nice break on a long journey) this was an unexpected surprise. The cave itself is impressive, the staff are friendly and they give some interesting info on the history! However, there isn't much to see but if you're passing by it's well worth a look!

Nice to visit, between the long ride to bryce canyon. The dinosauris bones and stones are very nice. And very friendly people there!

A lot of interesting fossils, fluorescent minerals, local Indian artifacts, and Hollywood memorabilia, all built within a cave (a rock alcove to be correct, the kind in which some ancient puebloans built their dwellings). Nice folks run the place and there's a good gift shop with decent prices. Definitely worth $5 each for the 45 minutes we spent there.

Frankly, this cave can be skipped with no regret. Even this fluorescent rocks. Small cave with almost nothing to see, wasn't worth money we spent. Truth is, all workers were kind and willing to give us all kind of information. Worth a glance was the store, and finally...my T-shirt with "Moqui Cave" sign! :)
