The food is good. I have had better BBQ but it wasn't bad. I had the briaket and my family had the pork BBQ.
We have eaten here several times, tried most of them eats and veggies. It is all good but the brisket is the BEST! Our Sunday School class has eaten there several times. We really enjoy the foes. Not sure what you want? Just ask for a taste! Great for families too!
I am impressed by the way they slice brisket, ribs and sausage to order. The food is very good with very good BBQ essence. The sides are all made fresh so they say, and very good. However, they are located in a market where they could not find adequate servers, so the self service mess hall style line. They need to pay a little bit more attention to the temps on their steam table. Lukewarm food from a steam table is an accident waiting to happen with bacteria. They need to find a sturdier bun. A large sandwich falls apart before you can finish it. Sauces are very good.I guess that table service is off the board for this locale, I wish them well and hope they overcome the curse of the Ashland City market in supporting a decent restaurant.Baked beans are a so-so side in most places but outstanding here.
This is a self-serve restaurant where you stand in line and order off of a board. Service goes fairly quickly though. The food is good. I especially like the ribs and brisket. Sides are good, too, but served from a steam table and not always hot enough for my liking. The meats are smoked well and served without sauce. There is a self serve table with many choices of sauce; all are good. Fountain soft drinks and tea are self serve as well, which I like, but I do not like the Styrofoam plates and plastic cutlery. For messy bar-b-que, real plates and forks and knives would be appreciated but prices are very reasonable and that makes up for the little inconveniences. I do wish they had a salad or baked potato on the menu as sides and I think they would do well to have other entrée options besides just smoked meats. A few times we skipped going there because someone in our large family wanted another option besides BBQ, but if BBQ is what you want, this is the place! Employees are friendly and it is a good place to call in orders for take out. I understand that their catering is also very good.
My family loves this place! I, as well as other family members, have ate here several times never to be disappointed. We all have different taste in entrees as well as vegetable choices and have pretty much ordered every thing available and none of us have been disappointed. The desserts are great too. I'm grateful that an establishment such as this has opened in Cheatham County and I hope that you will give it a try...you will be back. My favorite is the brisket...delicious.
We decided to give B&C a try in this familiar spot which has been trying HARD to find the key to success since Bill's Catfish closed years ago. The décor is familiar, not much change from the last tenant and quite a good fit for a BBQ place. First disappointment, though, is that they do not have table service in a community where drive-up, drive-thru, pick-up is the norm and there is a severe shortage of sit down order bring it to me's. (Thank goodness for Riverview and El Rey!) We got the hang of stand in line, look at the menu board and the food selections in view pick, plate, and take to your table. The plates and cups are styro, the cutlery is plastic - not the best for my choice ribs btw, but here in AC its pick up, chow down, finger lick'n fare anyway. Husband's brisket was the better of the 2. Fried okra was good and so was slaw. It's new, choices nearby are few so we'll likely give it another try and maybe it'll grow on us. BTW, I see from their take away menu, these folks are veterans in the food biz in Nashville and - B & C stands for Bacon & Caviar. . .hmmmm. Their pricing on sandwich, side, drink is EXCELLENT so I hope they promo it in town for the lunch crowd - not many cars seen there @ lunch to sustain biz and it would be a shame to lose another eatery in the community. But it will be hard to switch from Riverview for catfish even though we've heard B&C catch is good.
Great pulled pork and brisket, very good side items also. The restaurant was very nice and service was good. We will be back!
