Food, family owned businesses and fun are just a few words that describe Covington's Historic Square. The "square" has even been described at "a little piece of heaven". From plays and music at the Historic Ruffin Theater, weekly talent at "Coffee in the Attic" to "Music on the Square" in the months of May and June there is no place around that can boast local musical talent quite like Covington, Tennessee. Small restaurants with country delicacies can be found on the square as well as tucked away in the surrounding area. Antiques, pottery, works of art, refurbished furniture and other exciting items abound in this special place. The Chamber of Commerce supplies a schedule of events such as "The Chocolate Tour" in February, "Heritage Day" in September, "Recycled Scarecrows" in October and "Dickens on the Square" in December. Did I forget something? Probably. If you are in the area please visit us. There is lots to do at Covington's Historic Square.

Found the downtown are of Covington to be very clean and quant. I was very impressed with several of the older buildings that appeared to have been built during the 1950's. They were a nice surprise.
